I remember there was one case on here of a K1 that had a marriage ceremony after visa approval and before POE, and somehow the officers found the photo album in her lugage and denied her entry on the basis that her visa is not valid anymore.... but it's very rare to be denied entry when on a immigration visa, unless you are really stupid and bring drugs or something.

Is it possible for me to bring 3 or 5 month supply of birth control pills since I may be not eligible yet to get a health care service in the US? I'm a doctor in my home country. And I'd like to bring my health equipment too such as stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, glucose test device with the lancets and the strips, minor surgery equipments such as scissors, clamps, tweezers, etc because I plan to take the exams to be a doc again in the US after I get married with my fiance there. Thanks for your advice.

***** question split from 3 year old thread by another member- please make your own thread for your own questions ****

You should be fine to bring the medication in your handlugage (include the prescription, just in case), and the other objects in checked lugage. It is unlikely, but you may get some questions about it when the lugage get x-rayed, so some sort of credentials you can show would be a good idea.
