We got our Manila case number on March 28 2016.. . and now after almost two weeks of waiting our case show still at NVC... My question, are there any other applicant/s here who have experienced the same and what would the average waiting time be before NVC will forward a case to Manila?

Just keep on checking the CEAC status.

While waiting your fiancee can register on-line for her medical and gather all requirements. Let me know if she needs help moving forward :)

Because you have your MNL case number, you don't have to wait for anything. You can pay the visa application fee, schedule an interview, and complete the medical.

Heire are the K-1 interview preparation instructions from the U.S. Embassy Manila: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/Instructions%20Packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202016_.pdf

Well it can take up to 45 days to get a case complete. Then it can take from a few days to a few weeks to get to the embassy.

The process for a spousal visa is very different from that of a fiancée visa.

I learned from fiancee visa group that I cannot go for interview I should wait for my visa status oN CEAC to change to READY. For now upon checking my status my papers still at NVC. My packet should be forwarded first to consulate manlla before I can go for interview.

We got our Manila case number for K1 fiancee visa on March 28 2016.. . and now after almost two weeks of waiting our case show still at NVC... My question, are there any other applicant/s here who have experienced the same and what would the average waiting time be before NVC will forward a case to Manila?

It happens. We were stuck there for nearly 2 months back in the day. Times are a lot shorter now, in the neighborhood of 3 - 4 weeks.. I will give you the link to a thread, which is part 2 where people have posted about this. As it's 22 pages now, you might start at the end and work backwards. Hope it ends soon and you are on your way !

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

CEAC tracking shows your case file at NVC and you have your MNL # ? Usually within a couple weeks of receiving the MNL # the case file is headed to Manila.

You can get started with paying the visa fee at BPI, scheduling the interview (I suggest about 4-5 weeks out), complete the medical at SLEC and prepare all the documents as required in the embassy instructions letter.

Follow the link below in my signature for details on the complete process, there you will find links to the instructions letter and details on SLEC and CFO

Then jump over to the Philippines forum for your questions relating to the process in Manila.

It's true that you can not interview until your packet is at the embassy. However, you can schedule your interview now. Don't worry, your packet will be at the embassy by the time your interview rolls around. Right now, you are unnecessarily wasting precious time.
