Hello everyone,

First my question is there anything I have missed? My fiancé is scheduled to have the interview in Guangzhou later this month. We have completed the ds160 online and made appointment to the dr office. We have the I-134 with all documents as well as her divorce, birth and criminal history. paid the fee for her and her daughter. I though that the consulate would ask her to send the documents in but I guess she just needs to bring everything to the interview? Is this correct? We downloaded the K1 instructions from ustraveldocs.com and I did not see where we had to do anything else. Any advice would be helpful. I just feel that it would be better system if they review the paperwork before the interview. But who am I to question.

ps my timeline does not show all of the packet dates as I am not sure what those are. I did not want to put a false sense of a timeline on here.

Thanks JC

On the day of the interview, once she gets in the consulate, they will take the papers from her before the actual interview. The visa officer will review them while she sits outside, then call her in for the actual interview.

I don't think you're missing anything. Just make sure you guys are ok with the medical and actual interview date. The medical takes about 3 days to get the result, and you need the results before she goes to the interview.

Thanks,

We made the appointment 1 week prior the interview to allow enough time. Just wanted to know if this is the usual procedure. Now we just organize all the paperwork to get ready to present it.

Thanks

JC
