Today I had my interview and I was approved but the CO had to give me 221(g) pending that Knightsbridge medical send over my medical documents. He said this is very common and not to worry.

For some strange reason I don't even feel happy. Feel likes its anther thing that I'm going to have to chase up.

He just said I'd get my passport back in 2 weeks.

Anyone else had this experience with the doctor not sending the medical papers over in time?

It was Friday 1st April

That was cutting it too close for your blood work to get back from the lab and the results to be ready for interview. I would guess it could have been couriered over maybe by today, but not necessarily sorted from the receiving dock to the proper department, and filed in the proper folder. London is a big operation averaging 100 visas a day so lots more paper sorting and courier comings and goings than you might think.

The problem now is the officer may or may not get back get back to your case immediately. By not being ready by interview, you could be put on the back burner for several days to a few weeks. I have seen a range of times happen before they finish processing the visa and pass it on to the courier.

Knightsbridge just email to confirm that is been sent to the embassy.

The CO was very insistent on a turnover of 2 weeks for my passport.

How do I know when my medical has been accepted? Right now my status says AP but I read that it goes AP even when approved with no additional evidence or medical papers are required

Just explaining what I have seen happen with 8 years watching UK forum on here and it wasn't the clinic's fault. There is a wait for the lab results to come back to them and a weekend when nothing happens.

Are you asking how you know the officer thinks your medical is acceptable? If there was anything wrong with it, the clinic would have called you. If the clinic has sent it on to the embassy, then assume you passed all requirements.

Hopefully it will all get sorted quickly, but don't think something is wrong if it takes longer than those who didn't get the 221(g). When it says "issued" you know it's done and will be handed over to the courier.

Thank you for your input on my post nich-nick I really appreciate it.

Knightsbridge emailed me this morning and confirmed it was delivered at the embassy yesterday afternoon. It's just too bad that I can't contact the embassy to get an update.

I hope it doesn't take long as it's not like they needed additional evidence just needed my medical to issue the visa.

Plus I'm supposed to be going to Spain at the end of the month for work and now I'm concerend about not having my passport back in time ?
