Florida Gov. Rick Scott was simply trying to place his Starbucks order. He got an expletive-laced earful instead.

Scott was in line at the coffee chains downtown Gainesville location on Tuesday when a female customer working on her laptop noticed the governor and promptly went off on him.

You cut Medicaid, so I couldnt get Obamacare, the woman, later identified as Cara Jennings, yelled. Youre an a**hole.

The unpopular Republican governor, whose approval rating stands at just 38 percent in the Sunshine State, tried to explain that he didnt actually cut Medicaid he refused to expand it.

But that explanation didnt satisfy Jennings.

You dont care about working people, she said. You should be ashamed to show your face around here.

Scott countered by pointing out that he has created a million jobs during his tenure as governor.

A million jobs? Great, Jennings said. Who here has a great job?

You should, Scott replied.

Jeri Bustamante, the governors spokeswoman, approached Jennings to intervene. But Bustamante was quickly rebuffed.

Im not talking to you, Jennings said, laying into the governor over a recently signed anti-abortion bill that cuts all state funding to abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, and redefines trimesters.

You stripped women of access to public health care. Shame on you, Rick Scott. We depend on those services, she said.

Maybe you should try to tell the truth, Scott interjected.

Rich people like you dont know what to do when poor people like us need health services; you cut em, Jennings concluded. Shame on you, Rick Scott. Youre an embarrassment to our state!

Maybe instead of sitting in Starbucks using free Internet and sipping over priced coffee, she should get a job

Maybe she's in school? A lot of college students go to Starbucks for the free WiFi and to do homework.

Someone should go after the corporations opening up factories in Haiti. But nah-let's go the easy route and blame it on Hillary!

Looks like Hilary is just following the path the U.S. has already been taking. I know she isn't a trustworthy candidate. I just wanted LIB to post his sources. He likes to say unsubstantiated things. Thanks for the link and the read.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott's bizarre answer to Starbucks video

One statement, inexplicable.

The Florida woman caught on camera castigating Gov. Rick Scott in a Starbucks is baffled by his bizarre response to the video: He criticized her for sometimes not saying the Pledge of Allegiance in public.

How does that have any bearing on my legitimate critique of policy decisions? Cara Jennings told the Daily News Thursday morning.

GOV. RICK SCOTT INVITES YALE TO MOVE TO FLORIDA

I think more people are concerned about him defunding Planned Parenthood than about me not saying the Pledge.

Jennings, 39, rose to national notoriety after cell phone footage showed her chewing out the bumbling Republican governor when he stopped by a Starbucks in Gainesville Tuesday. She called him an a--hole and embarrassment and berated him for recently signing a bill to defund Planned Parenthood. Scott swiftly walked out, with his entourage and without his order.

After the video became national news, Scotts office put out a baffling statement as a belated comeback:

People with radical views tend to not like civil debate. A self-proclaimed anarchist rudely yelled and cursed at the Governor. She also refused to Pledge Allegiance to the flag. Its a free country, but its not at all surprising that an anarchist prefers shouting over conversation.

Jennings, a former Lake Worth city commissioner, has indeed embraced the anarchist label in the past.

The Pledge part she doesnt quite get.

According to her and to meeting minutes from her time working for Lake Worth, Jennings sometimes stood for the Pledge of Allegiance and recited it. Other times, she stood for it and didnt.

Meeting minutes from Cara Jennings' time as a city commissioner show she's not quite so anti-Pledge.

I was never disrespectful about it, but I was never an avid Pledge leader, she said.

But I dont know how that bears any impact on if I critique his policies or not. How is it relevant if I say the Pledge?

Three members of Scotts staff did not answer questions from the News about the Pledge remark.

One Scott rep, Melissa Sellers, told the News the video was clearly set up something Jennings denies.

I didnt even know (Scott) was going to be in the area, she said.
