Still waiting!!! Everyone else is being approved but we're still waiting after 2 and a half months

We sent in our petition on the 5th of January and NOA1 on January 13th. On March 9 we got a notify on the website saying we had an RFE mailed out to us. Luckily for us, this was an easy fix and we send it back a day after we got the blue letter (March 15th). Our case got updated on the 18th saying they've received our response and they start working on our case again and they will mail us their decision or notify me if they need anything else. At this point, even though it's stressing and drowning me to wait wait wait, I consider myself lucky out of all these cases, that we at least got noticed. I know it sucks to wait but you are still in the timeline of waiting for NOA2. Every case is different and we will never fully know how they work inside of that building, piles or per country or per dates. Although I don't think it goes per country.

Unfortunately, this is a long journey. No call or e-mail will speed this up for you. They have our 2000 cases and sadly, we need patience and faith.

Thank you everyone for the comfort. Good to know that I'm not the only person that's experiencing this - as I was well aware but nice to hear it in person. I just do not understand in which order they process the files. It seems so obscure that they will file some from Jan some from Feb and even before that. Weird!!!

There is no order. Words I have learned to live by....Don't try to make logic of much that goes on in immigration. You'll drive yourself bonkers :bonk:

When we applied for our K1 the average adjudication time was 4 months. So when we got our NOA2 in 65 days I was thrilled, but one of our July 2014 fliers had to wait over 8 months. Again no rhyme or reason. Here it is April 2016 and we are still working on our K1 and waiting. Yes, we have run into obstacles, but the point is there are always VJers who have been waiting and through a more difficult journey than you. Everyone here is very supportive!

Patience is key. The less you stress the less you will be stressed. Keep busy, try not to focus on it. Good Luck!

It's a shame so many new VJers don't complete or update their timelines. Back when I was going through the NOA1-NOA2 process this was a useful tool. But its only as accurate as the information entered in timelines.

(this is my first post). I agree with you -- timelines are incredibly useful, especially in advanced mode. I can see at least 5 others who sent their I-129F on the same date as me... and of course i'll be comparing other dates to theirs.

I think we can all empathize with the OP, but it's just important to remember that (I think) most of us entered this process with an understanding that it could take a while. It's extremely hard not to be stressed or anxious over a process we have so little control over, but we should try.

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!

I agree! Igor's List use to be the bomb diggity. We used to watch it like a hawk. And if someone didn't keep up their timeline they'd get messages asking them to please do so. But it really helps to see the numbers and know you weren't alone in this waiting game.

No control is exactly right!! I've learned a lot throughout this process!

You are not alone we are right there with you. Giving it a little more time I think we are still within the overall time frame if there is some positive action in the the next few weeks.

We must be in the same stack!

If two individuals want to be together, stay together and work together, it will happen. They will make it happen.Remember, the two of you are a TEAM!

I love you more today than yesterday (L) .

Well we mailed to Texas but our NOA1 had the CSC as the issuing office.

We will get there just on a little longer journey. It's worth the wait!

Good Luck to you all too!

agreed again its a shame , especially when your trying to get more examples with your specific country , most just fill in a few dates and never complete it

Yes! Or don't bother at all. It's helpful for others to compare and also answer questions!

USCIS case status processing times say a K1 for CSC is taking an average of 5 months. Its been 2 and a half months and you're complaining? Welcome to immigration. Sit back and enjoy the wait. You can't complain until its past 5 months, "outside of normal processing times".

Well no, as I stated above I am well aware of the 5 month waiting estimate. However my moan was over the fact that some people are getting processed a lot faster than us - in fact A LOT of filers are being approved before us. But I can see now that it's an across the board thing. Not just us. Which again I wasn't in denial over - just wanted some more information into how they process things etc...

basically I'll just put up the email I sent to the CSC to get information. Could anybody help out here. Been waiting with no information at all and it seems everyone else is being approved already. So aggravating :(

To whomever it may concern,

My fiancée and I filed for my K1 visa and got our NOA1 on February 2nd , the date that the visa was accepted on was January 29th. Now, as we are both obviously new to this we signed up to visa help sites to be able to follow other people's journeys whilst ours was pending. However, we've now noticed that the number of NOA2's and even those with RFE's are going a lot faster than ours... The average waiting time in between NOA1 and NOA2 appears to be between 31-50 days - we are now on day 63 (which I understand there is a 5 month waiting time suggested by yourselves) however when everyone else around you is being accepted, and informed of what's going on with their K1's I feel that we have been kept somewhat in the dark. My Fiancée called your customer service team whom were less than helpful, and didn't want to offer any advice which I find somewhat saddening as we're going through the most stressful, yet exciting time of our lives and it is being dampened and made even more stressful by people like this - unwilling to help.

I would like to take this opportunity to request some form of further details as to what is going with our process. Even if we were number 32 million in the queue an you had a turnaround of 100,000 a day at least I'd know we were going somewhere. But now it seems like we've just been put at the bottom of a pile and forgotten about. Which I understand a lot of others must feel also. I would appreciate a response adequately and efficiently.

Side note to this - I can see that somebody accessed our file on the 3rd February (one day after it was stated on our NOA1?) Secondly, according to the website visa journey.com the processing date for the CSC is February 11th (9 days after ours?) and we still haven't heard a thing. It's starting to get a bit frustrating to be waiting and waiting and have no further information or anything to base our time on. I work full-time as well as attending university and would need to give plenty of notice to be able to attend the next stages of the process. I'd basically just like to know where we're at so that I could be able to plan ahead of time and make sure I have the correct money saved etc.

Hi! My fiance received our NOA2 four months after NOA1. So relax, and be more patient. It will come eventually! Good luck :)

Good Luck to you all too!

Then you need to change your filing location on your profile to california.....It helps with the timelines and is accurate, you don't have a texas tracking number so you aren't filed with texas.

People self-reporting here are a small section of total filers. Keep that in mind, too. Also someone whose process is moving quickly may be more likely to post online because they're moving along and are eager to get it done. Its not like you see an accurate cross-section of all applicants on here.
