Call or Wait??

Quick question! It's been just over 2 weeks since submitting AOS & IV documentation, would I be pushing the boundaries if I were to ring NVC to see if I can find something out? Even if it were to just ask if they received it, as I haven't heard anything or received any sort of confirmation that they have. I get that they say 2-4 weeks to review it, but the not knowing if they even have it is doing my head in ?. Thanks!!

That's exactly what's bugging me,the not knowing if they received it..i sent in my documents march 1st,have still not heard anything from NVC yet..im hoping to see the 3N/A's this week..but u can call them to find out atleast to put your mind at rest.i will be calling them by Friday if I don't hear anything from them

I hate not knowing lol! I've been checking everyday & nothing ? I will probably wait till the end of the week. I just don't want to call and seem like a pest! Lol

Calling NVC is your right and your business. I called them no less than twice daily from Approval 11/16 to interview assigned 2/24.

99% of people get a received documents email within a week of their documents being delivered. And almost everybody at least in the VJ world calls to know whats up. I know i got my email 1/5 the day after FedEx delivered it.

So Please call NVC. Would hate for you to assume all is well and a month or later you find out they don't have your documents.

Just call you have to be proactive with NVC.

Call today so you know for sure without a doubt ypu were received and your scan date.

I have already seen scan dates 3/5 getting CC'S you should call NOW!

I just called NVC & yes they received my mail, scan date is the 24/3 & she also told me I could hear something very soon? And to keep checking back with them as much as I want (she shouldn't have said that lol) so my fingers are crossed and hoping I do hear soon. Thank you ?

So...received a checklist from NVC via email today? and I'm a little confused....apparently I didn't send through the I-864 form or my police certificate and they are requesting this before they can give me an interview date, but they received everything else. This is where my confusion kicks in, I went back to the email I sent with all docs, everything is there. So what do I do, resend it all or call them first to check and make sure it's not all there or just resend it? I just don't want to have to go back to waiting 30 days if this is how it works. And thoughts are welcomed ?

You can call and verify with them request a supervisor review if everything was in that one PDF or resend. Either way it's usually another 30 to 45 days.

But since you are EP maybe less. Call first.

Any piece of mail you send restarts the "30-45 day" clock. Now that being said they lose things on a regular basis, and supervisor review can take 60 days in 2016 not the 42 that was status quo last year. What you have to do is call and they will tell you that they don't have them, based on your conversation and how long it took to review your previous documents , decide if you want to resend or wait and see if they find them. The later option rarely works. I resent everything they lost.
