Not really. Janelle explained this to me a while back. They do that to eliminate the competition. It didn't make sense at first, but then I started looking at the military marriages I've seen over the years. And that's what they do. They marry a pretty young lady, then to keep the heat off her, they either feed her like crazy or have several kids back to back. That way she is too exhausted to work out or too drained to "cheat" on you. The irony of this is, when she gets big, then they go cheat with someone smaller than her, not understanding they put her in the situation in the first place.

In their minds, any woman that turns them down are evil.

Yeah, I had a guy "joke" that he was gonna get me fat so that no one else would look at me.....I think he was semi serious as he was always cooking me great dishes, and trying to get me to eat more. (an American)

Ha ha. I mentioned this on an old thread, but a couple of years ago (I think), a friend signed me up on this international dating site as a joke. No pic, just the fact that I was in Japan. I got inundated by American dudes, ranting on about how hot Japanese women are etc.and American women suck. Judging from their pics they were nothing special. When I'd reply that I wasn't Japanese, but just living here they'd clam up and never get back.

I was really bummed out by this and spent many a sleepless night........sigh.

Yep. They're all just average/below average dudes looking for the overseas beauty queen that will overlook their perceived defects and worship the ground they walk on. That's why the anger is so thick on sites such as these.

I was talking with an Australia guy yesterday, and he was saying that if a woman turns an Aussie down they just conclude said woman must be a lesbian and move on to the next one at the bar. He's surrounded by lesbians! Ha ha.

You, of all people, know what it's like on a military housing base. Those deployments have some of those men shook and they don't want Jody to come in while they're gone. I've seen some of these wives not even 5 years ago looking like they came off the runway now with gray hair and a LOT larger than their frames can handle. I even know some who REFUSE to bring their wives back to the states for the same reason.

I've seen some of these wives not even 5 years ago looking like they came off the runway now with gray hair and a LOT larger than their frames can handle. I even know some who REFUSE to bring their wives back to the states for the same reason.

I can't imagine having a wife on a military base. During Desert storm zip was at Ft Stewart when the 24th ID left for Saudi. It was unreal.

Yep, the clubs be empty on base, but when a deployment goes down, it's packed with women you've never seen before. Those are the wives. Hence the reason I never used to go to the base club.

Also why some of those couples don't want to come back stateside. Housing districts are the wolves den, and it's too easy to be bitten if you're not careful.

Totally agree. The clubs were packed, but when the 24th got redeployment orders they were empty. So many of the wives had no problem with it. I was like. Could you at least turn his picture face down it was sad kind of.
