On Skyscanner, which has taken me to us.travel2be.com to get a ticket that is needed. However, the system only allows 13 characters for the name. Now, under NAME, I figured FIRST MIDDLE needs to go. SURNAME will get LAST. Problem is, FIRST/MIDDLE is more than 13 characters. Traveling from Philippines to America, via Seoul, Korea, what have anyone else done in this scenario? Their customer support is, of course, using an International number which I can not call (restricted).

Anyone's experience is this would be appreciated. I was anxious to get this ticket tonight, but stopped by a system limitation.

Thanks.

Well, I was able to call them (seems they did have a number I could call) but they said because of restrictions and the amount of airlines they work with, I have to skip using a middle name, call up, and pay over $30 (USD) to add the middle name on the flight information.

Yea, probably no!!!

Why not just go through a site like Expedia, Google Flights, Orbitz? If you do not want to do this then you can at the very least send her the money for her to go to a travel company there to get the ticket?

Been checking. Very high prices....

How much time is best for layovers? 2h too short? She thinks if a flight is delayed, she could miss it because of immigration holdups.

Is it true about some immigration be picky about one-way ticket holders?

I tried calling Asiana Airlines, and the website says that ticket could be denied because not buying one way.

My head hurts.

I purchased our tickets direct from Asiana website. Go to their website directly and book the flight there. Bought only one way for the 3 of us. My kids has long names too (3names) but Asiana accepted it all.

As for the names, your don't have to put all the names in as per passport if the names are too long and will not fit on the allowable area.

You can just include, Family name and first name. If there are 3 first names, you can include the first only...

Example: Family Name: Santos

First Name: Eva Marie Jane Rosario

Middle Name: David

On the booking, you can use:

Family Name: Santos,

First Name: Eva

Middle name David (optional)

I am purchasing tickets for all employees in the company and some has extra long names.

You are right. Sending the money and buy the ticket from a Travel agency is also an option. They also offer some discounts for First Time Immigrants (FTI) with the presentation of the Visa, K1 included. Still cheaper via airline website though.

No. They are not picky about that if you come on a K1 visa because you are immigrating over to the USA. The majority of people just buy whatever ticket they can afford wither that is a one way or round trip ticket.

I eventually got something from Delta directly. I had issues over the phone with Asiana, Skyscanner, and that 2GO or something. Wow, I did not have this issue when I flew out to the Philippines, but getting someone here was a headache with these people. I hate customer service as it is, with their useless auto attendants and disabling 0. <sigh>, At least that part is over with. Now I can go back working 70 in peace and harmony.....

Thanks all for your suggestions and help. I tried some, and ended up that Delta had one that works out and only cost me one month's rent, so that is good. :dancing:
