Hi everyone,

My husband got his I601A approved, now he has his interview next month in Ciudad Juarez, we are trying to plan everything so his trip can be as short as possible. I'm trying to have an idea about how long can take him to come back to US, IF everything goes as planned.

Thank you in advance for your time.

My lawyer told us we should plan to be out of the country for 7-10 days. It all depends on when your interview is. For example, if it lands on a day before holidays or administrative days when the consulate will be closed. You'll also need to factor in his appointments (its usually best to do his medical 2-3 days before the interview). Also, after the interview you'll need to wait for the waybill pay that and pick up the visa (this is where I've seen it range from a couple of days to a week). I'm planning to stay for a week when its my time.

If I may ask, how long did it take for your waiver to be approved?

My husband had his interview last week Wednesday 3/30 and we are still in Ciudad Juarez waiting for his waybill number so we can pick up his documents at DHL. We got here on Sunday 3/27 so we have been here 10 days and still waiting.

My husband also has his interview next month. Our attorney suggested that we plan for at least 3 weeks, and for us to leave to our hometown after the interview and wait there to receive the documents at the DHL. So far I only booked a room for a week, because i noticed that rooms go fast. I saw on here that some receive the documents within a couple of days, some for over a week, I wish they gave us a time frame.

Hi, I wanted to ask people personal experiences or family experiences on how long did it take to come back to the USA once arrived for the appointment in Juarez. I have 2 weeks of vacation at my job, wondering  if it will be around that time or what should I expect?  Thanks.
