Then somebody on here told me wrong. They said there is nothing you can do wtih the receipt number as far as inputting it or tracking it. So are you saying you can track your receipt number? I suppose it doesn't do any good unless it has some kind of time line to look at. They will all just say processing, right? I suppose there won't be any update until we get the NOA 2, then it's on to NSC, right??? It's just a crazy waiting game.

Now My USCIS Case Status Says that:

“On March 25, 2016, we received your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice but there are no instructions written on the notice. Secondly, will “My Case Status” show “electronic routing/tracking” of my case? Other question is that what is NOA-1 & NOA-2?

You put the receipt number in to the USCIS case tracker and if it works, you can make an account to get updates like if you are sent and RFE or are approved.

NSC? Do you mean NVC?

That's pretty much all it will show unless you get an RFE or it's approved.

The instructions are to sit on your butt and wait. LOL The USCIS process is opaque. You just have to wait for something to happen and pretty much nothing you can do unless you have a valid expedite or they're way over processing times can help.

NOA1 is the first I-797 notice of action letter you get with your Receipt number etc..

NOA2 is the decision letter (either approval or denial). It's the second notice of action letter.
