Grenada sounds nice.

We have a storm coming in, a couple of feet of snow.

I agree. Im wondering how many people are going to ask me for a ride home cause theyre stuck.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  - Dr. Seuss

I think it's normal to get cold feet, especially considering that as the foreign spouse, we are giving up our home, our family and friends, our career, basically everything we know and moving halfway around the world to the unknown. Just try and support and reassure your husband. I hope this doesn't sound cold but if he loves you, he will come around and move to the US for you.

Take some time and talk about what it is exactly that makes him not want to move. What is he worried about and then try and tackle those worries together. You have a year before you have to do the next step at NVC so no need to rush.

If you get to the point of having the visa in hand, your husband will have six months from the date of his medical to enter the US, given that his police cert is valid for at least that time too.

Thank you for weighing in.

Yeah, Grenada is nice. Grenada is sweet. But are there jobs in Grenada? Not really. Grenada is in the same boat as like, Argentina. They owe a lot of money to hedge funds who bought their government bonds at cut rate prices abut now want to cash in their investments at full market rate value. I think it's not long before austerity measures kick in there in lovely Grenada.

I have a decent tiny business here in the U.S. that could employ my husband and probably grow with him as partner, and become more profitable. there in Grenada I am not sure I could make a living. He can't support me and himself, presently, maybe only in poverty. He only just said I should move there and everything would be peachy. Really? In the same text message he says he is afraid of the cold. Like that is the real problem. I never asked him to spend the winter here! I guess not enough love to overcome the problems.

thanks for letting me vent. :ranting:
