Had interview on Jan 8th. Told missing two documents to support name change. VO said everything else looked good. As long I send in required docs, they're not going to make this difficult. Didn't keep my passport though. Missing documents were finally received Apr 1st.

In AP for 56 days now. They said it would take 8 weeks of processing. Been checking CEAC frantically all day, last status update May 25th... Still waiting

As per visa journey experience, you 8 week count down started from April 1st if they received your document on April 1st. Good Luck.

Thx for updating, No update so far!

Any updates Ariaeeb!

Well, Because a crazy extremist Muslim decides that he hates gay people and kills 50 innocent human, everybody has to suffer and probably we will have suffer separated from our loved ones in the US. So more innocent people will be hurt because of one!

I don't think so our files will impact because of this incident. Did consulate told you that they are not processing files because of this or just your thought? Any updates?

That was just a thought. Trump in one his interviews after the incident said that he will stop letting people come to the US from Middle East and all other Muslim countries.

Even though I am not living in Iran since 2012 and did not even visit since then and I am not even a Muslim but still can impact me.

9/11 post-boned my immigration case with Canada for 3 years and after that they rejected the case.
