Schedule interview at the embassy (merged threads)

Hi guys!

I just checked my case status online and it says, ready! It tells me to schedule my interview and it confuse me as I thought that I should now send my package 3 and only schedule appointment when I receive Packet 4.

What should I do now? Send my package 3 or schedule my interview at Montreal US embassy?

Only schedule an interview after you get p4 or they can cancel the interview on you! Also Montréal is a consulate.

Which ones? The DS260's? The one fee after the interview? There's lots of fees at various stages...

We had to pay a fee on the website prior to being able to book our interview.
So if that's the fee you are referring to, wait until you are able to make an interview, and then the system will make you pay before scheduling.

(At least for the K1 visa)

You pay the NIV visa fee when you fill out the DS-160.

nope apparently it is different for K1 visa, we have to pay at the time of the interview setting up date

When i checked my CEAC status online on April 5, it said ready (received by us consulate in montreal so i submitted my packet 3 the very next day (yesterday) but didn't hear from the consulate since. Should I pay the fees already? Should I now wait for packet 4 even though I still did not receive packet 3?

you know that you can send packet 3 when your status on ceac says ready meaning that the us consulate/embassy received your case!
