I believe people can make something of themselves without college education; I believe the way this world has gone with pretty much forcing most people to go to college is insane...and I believe most college professors are useless.

I also do believe in working and trying hard, but not necessarily via homework. I've been known to not do my homework and not study for tests in school - all I cared about was passing. And I knew I was smart enough to pass without doing any of that. I didn't need great grades to feel good - C or D is fine, just let me pass, and to pass I don't need to study. But all of that is not even relevant to my original post. My point was that fretting does nothing good for you. Cool minds prevail - there's no need to fret. And yes it is true that guys seem to fret less, not only about their schooling but about most everything else, and that's just because our brains are literally different. Chemically we're not the same. Of course there's outliers on both sides here and there and girls who fret less than boys, but for the most part it is just one of the differences we're born with.

So nor should they fret, and also nor should they take their studies that seriously, because well life's too short to be serious all the time - that's not to say they should not strive to succeed in life, but some girls kill themselves over school - and I believe it's a lot more than pressure from society(they strive for perfection and WANT all A's...want, not think it is asked of them) - they would see the world that way regardless.

Your poor mother! Lol!

Good points, but why do you think most professors are useless?

Funny, I've always been told that lack of education holds back certain people and that if they educate themselves they'll do better. ...

That's the way it's turning into, NOT the way it should be.

You might be kidding but you'd be surprised how many people I know that have done great things with their life without having a formal college education. The problem is today most places don't even look at you anymore unless you come in with a degree, and I think that is a completely retarded approach. You'd end up with so many better people if you actually looked at the skills of that person and their talent and their smarts and not just whether or not they have the piece of paper you want. Some college grads are stupider than some homeless people I know.

What do you mean this is how you get hold of the guns? In VT all you have to is wake up, walk out the door and buy one. Literally.
