For American women it is hard to go to college x amount of years and then have a baby and expect to pop back and look like your 20 again. Men have started looking for women who are young, and not college oriented to become their wives. Making America great again

i don't know about college but as far as careers go, mismatched salaries are difficult to manage in a relationship. some men can't stand the constant challenge to their ego. which is understandable to a degree, there are still tons of men out there who base their self worth on being a provider, but in a chivalrous sense. they emotionally need to be 'the man' in that stereotypical role.

I think mostly true for older makes, however, parents, elders have a lot to do with shaping the youth, somewhat, yes?

Yeah, so what is happening here is the marriage rate has dropped drastically. People in their late teens, early twenties look at their parents' marriages and think "no way". Guys don't want to work as hard as their fathers, and women don't want to be full time housewives, on the whole...great increase in women at medical school for instance..

Yeap, mixed matched salaries and education is hard to match. More because of male ego. I believe if it wasn't for the gross misuse and neglect of wives we would not have seen a huge push of feminism and independence of women. In the older days, fathers worked hard but also had multiple households....

Maybe that effeminate comment I received the other day was true lol, because I would be very much happy if my wife made more than me.

in an established relationship, i would think most men would find a way to accept their wife earning more. but starting out that way?

I know quite a few well-educated young men in NY, who actively seek out young gals with trust funds...is it so different in other parts of the states?

Know lots of guys who don't really want to work...

Would a young man be put off dating someone richer than him? Not so sure about that.

I'd still be okay. As long as she didn't make too much (IE millions a year - as I find the majority of people with that much income truly embody the notion of Power corrupts...)

there's a difference in two people making a relationship work, while they both have to work for a living and two people making a relationship work when one person doesn't have to work or is in the relationship because they don't want to work. what happens if the money goes or the mega earner looses their job?

not saying it doesn't happen. and i agree, millions a year is grossly absurd and yet completely normal.

The thought is probably that she will go looking for the BBD or at least see him a loser that can be replaced.

I was addressing you query about "starting out that way" several posts above, not long term stuff.
