So this morning I had an interview with US embassy, the officer gave me a 221(g) white form stating that they need to further review my DS 160 form. This afternoon, the consulate send me an email saying that my application for non immigrant visa is still undergoing additional administrative processing, however they don't need anymore additional information from me or from anyone else, they are just waiting for the paperwork to go through. They said they just don't know how much longer the process might take it.

So anyone has ever experience this before? how long does it take for them to process my visa application? and by saying they don't need any additional information from me or anyone else, does that mean its purely because of paperwork?

Yep, you wait.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

that is a positive sign. They are going to grant you the B2. Did they have you leave your passport with them ?

You can request your passport back for travel purposes.

Lioness is right you can ask for your passport back for immediate travel purposes. Email jakiv@state.gov

My parents' visa was granted and they need it to travel abroad, and they expedite the request with the visa in the passport.

You can ask, hope the same thing happens to you as my parents did.
