Hello everyone! I am going to file a petition to get my parents. On the immigration website these are the only requirements to file for I-130

  • Form I-130
  • A copy of your birth certificate showing your name and your mother’s name
  • A copy of your Certificate of Naturalization or U.S. passport if you were not born in the United States

my question is, do I need to include tax info, bank statements or any kind of paperwork that supports sponsorship. If I dont need to include said paperworks in the beginning of the process... will i need them later on?

thank you so much in advance. I am glad to find this forum!

hi

nope, the affidavit of support and financial supporting evidence are for the nvc statge

for now, aside from what you mentioned, from your mom, copies of her marriage certificate or divorce decree

any documents that aren't in English must have a translation into English with them
