Greetings all.

My K1 Visa Petition was finally approved after a two week delay because of an RFE... on 2/23/16 and sent off to NVC.

NVC received my APPROVED case on 3/16/16.

After numerous calls and status checks online saying "At NVC" I was first told there was a back log and if the case was not sent off by Monday (today) to call back and they would "look into it"

After numerous online checks over the weekend and again today- the case is still at NVC. Called back today. Spoke to a supervisor who said there must have been an error and the case says both duplicated and posted. She would look into it and this request could take up to 42 days.

This is my second petition for the same fiancee. The first one also expired after Admin Processing after his interview.

There is a clear case number attached to this so they can't be that incompetent to think this was a duplicate case? Or can they?

If it takes another 42 days from now for them to figure out their mistake, we will not be able to schedule his his interview in time. This petition has a four month validity and expires 6/23/16.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That is in June, it will definitely be at the embassy before that and you can ask the embassy to extend the expiration date on the petition.

The first expired during AP? You won't have time to schedule an interview?

With your first petition, were you told by the embassy that it was expired and had to file again? Don't worry about the time at nvc....you can still schedule the interview.

Thank you- He has tried to schedule the interview but has not been able to because it is not at the embassy yet. Apparntely he has to wait for them to send him the email.

Yes because depending on the embassy there are things he need to do before scheduling the interview.

I'm still wondering about your first petition, were you denied? If so on what grounds? If ap drags out you normally get a chance to resubmit documents that have expired and retake the medical and such.
