Hi there

I'm very new here and don't know how to go trough proper question procedure. Sorry for that in advanced.

On March 19, 2015, USCIS approved your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number WAC15900*****. Then it was sent to NVC for next steps. But today, my husband got another email from NVC that mention:

"Dear Sir/Madam

The National VISA Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: DHK2015***** filled by *my husband's NAME* on behalf of *my NAME*.

We returned immigrant visa petition DHK2015**** to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). If you have more question about this case, please contact USCIS.

USCIS CONTACT INFOMATION:

Principal Applicant's Name: ******

Now my question is, what does this mean? What should I supposed to do now? I'm totally get confused now and also upset for a such long delay. It's almost a year that I can't meet with my husband :-(

Please someone guide me what should I do now?

Thanks again

Your case has been at the NVC for over a year. What did you do when the case was sent to the NVC? Did you pay the fees? Did you send in the paperwork to the NVC?

I've called them several times and they are always saying its under procedure. Now yesterday, my husband got this message. Although he tried to contact with the local lawyer and USCIS, but I just wanna make sure actually I'm in what stage of the procedure?

When last year? As long as you're in contact with NVC within a year period, they shouldn't send your case back.

I suggest calling NVC asap and talking to a supervisor.

Happened to me too but it was for CR1 and they sent it back to be united with the K3 application I also filed. Then sent back the NVC when both i-130 and k3 were together.

Thanks NLR for quick reply. But I can't understand what do you mean :(

I wasn't answering you. I was just moving your thread to the appropriate place.

Sounds like NVC needs USCIS to either check something or make some determination. I would have your husband make an INFOPASS appointment with his local office and see what they can tell him. USCIS would probably send you a letter later on but I wouldn't wait for that.

Good luck.

The best option is to call NVC and talk to one of their supervisor.

Before the discussion make sure you prepare yourself with all the payments, communication, document information and not scramble around when asked for some info. For example if they ask you about a fee you should tell them on such and such date you paid $xxx and the money order # is this. Try to be as prepared and request for an answer from the supervisor. This could be a mistake from their end and can be fixed if there isn't some other issue you aren't aware of.
