Hi I saw from the website that it costs $635 for under 14 and filing with the I-485

application of at least one parent. I have also some questions, how many days or weeks does your AOS have been approved? and did you file for everything like EAD, AP?

TIA

These are good and very often ask questions. There are numerous similar-themed threads to be found in the AOS forums.

AOS processing times are all over the board. Check out the Fam.-based AOS Progress forum for more information. Some approvals come in a couple of months, some after 6 month wait, sometimes over a year, some with interview, some with interview waiver.

Due to the extreme variability of the AOS processing times, the general forum recommendation is the concurrently file for the EAD and AP at the same time as AOS, for a couple of reasons. There is no additional fee for the EAD or AP when concurrently files with AOS, and with the wacky AOS processing times, people that want to work, or travel home for family issues/emergencies can after the EAD and AP are received.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Timelines vary, and as Benito123 said, you can check the site for approximate processing times. But as a point of reference, I filed for my 17-year-old on 01/15/2016, her Biometrics appointment during the last week of February, and her AOS interview is now scheduled for 04/25/2016.

I also included EAD & AP forms & documents as well, since they are FREE when filed along with the i-485.

Good luck!

By the way, as far as I know, since you are filing for your child SEPARATELY from your own, you will have to pay the full $985. The link Pitaya provided specifically says the filing fee is $635 only if it was filed in the same envelope as the i-485 of the parent. The $85 biometrics fee is not necessary since your daughter is only 5-years-old.

Can someone clarify that this is indeed the case?

The fee is only lower if you file at the same time as the parent. Since they are filing after the parent, the fee is $985, no bio fee. The info is on the I-485 USCIS form page under 'Special Instructions'.
