Approval on March 22th, and still Nothing from NVC, should I keep Calling to verify if we Have a NVC case already? And Start this last steps?

they usually assign a case number 30 to 40 days from when they receive it. you can call at day 14 to see if its in their building or just wait for day 30 through 40 to see if a case number has been assigned then you can start the process

USCIS : 7 months
Marriage : March 21, 2014
I-130 Sent : April 18, 2014
I-130 NOA1 : April 22, 2014
I-130 Approved: November 14, 2014 ( after two service request) 

NVC: 6 months
Received : December 1, 2014
Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : January 1, 2015
Pay AOS Bill : January 9, 2015
Submit DS-261 : January 7, 2015
Receive IV Bill : January 15, 2015 called after AOS showed paid, they released it overnight)
Pay IV Bill : January 23, 2015
Send IV and AOS: January 29, 2015
Scan date: February 3, 2015
Checklist: March 19, 2015 (only need to send south Africa police report)
Case Complete: June 3, 2015 

EMBASSY: 10 months
Interview appointment letter : December 4, 2015
Interview Date : January 21, 2016 medical wasn't complete
Second interview date: April 4th 2016
Interview Result :APPROVED!!!
Visa Received : 4/13/2016 ( they sent us a email stating our visa was ready for pick up)

USA LIFE
US Entry :4/29/2016 
Social Security : 5/10/2016 (filed from the actual office)
State ID: 5/14/2016
Started working!!: 5/25/2016
Finally paid green card fee: 6/24/2016 ( note said we will receive it within 60 days)
Green card in hand: 7/5/2016 10 year green card we done!! 

1st king born: 6/30/2016

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

Ive been calling today, but it was a mess trying to contact them. Lets hope by the end of the week we receive something.

did u receive any notification from ur service center about sending ur case to nvc?

from what i have read here it takes like 6 days for nvc to receive it and thn about a week bfre u get case number.but again it varies in every case

1/4/2016 petition received at NVC (call and confirm it arrives. About 15 days try to get your case number and receipt number, I got mine in 11 days)

1/15/2016 Called NVC and got case/invoice number logged into this site to pay fees, pick agent -> https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx 1/15/2016 picked agent DS-261

1/18/2016 paid aos fee

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

♧CASE COMPLETE. .. march 8th

3/11/15 interview email

4/20/15 shots 4/25/15 rest of medical exam

INTERVIEW APRIL 27TH @8:30

April 27th 221g for additional documentation and placed in administrative processsing.

June 20th submitted evidence requested

June 23rd case was touched by embassy

August 1st case was touched again.

AUGUST 16TH embassy called and wants a new co sponser yet he met requirements.

Found a new co-sponsor

Handed in aos sept 11th

Set 18th another update

Sept 28th update and embassy called

SEPT 29TH ISSUED FINALLY

OCT 2nd visa in hand

POE October 22nd 2016

My GOT APPROVED ON MARCH 22 AND SENT NVC ON 28 SINCE THEN STILL EXPECT THE C ASE NUMBER FROM NVC.Does anyone knows how long will take NVC to generate case number?

i JUST got my case number today on the phone with NVC. I tried to use my case number on dept of state website and asked for invoice number ,how do I get the invoice numbner?

If you signed up to receive notifications on the USCIS.gov website, then you'll get a notification that there is an update to your case. the case will show it's been sent to Department of State (aka - NVC). they don't always send your approved petition to NVC immediately after approval. Mine took about 12 days before I was notified of it being sent to NVC. Then another week for them to generate a case number and Invoice number. That's not the norm either. most people have to wait at least 2 weeks or even 30 days to get a case number and Invoice number. Wait another week and call NVC again and see if they received your case.

Don't freak out that NVC hasn't received your case yet. This whole process teaches us one thing: Patience. Weather we asked for it or not, we're stuck with that lesson.

N-400/Citizenship process:

Applied online: 9/06/2020

Biometric: reuse letter received 1/19/2021

Interview: 5/12/2021 - APPROVED!!! 😃

Oath Ceremony: 6/04/2021

Call NVC again and ask for it. They would've had it when you got your case number.
