Tourisy visa for parents

I'm thinking about my parents applying for a Tourist visa someday but im concerned if they will get denied because of our financial capabilities, though before i could say we were well off, but that was almost 5+years ago.

They say be honest and truthful on the real purpose of visit, but this is our financial background today:

> My dad is a retired seaman since 2011. HE has been in the service for 30+ years, going in and out of the country, travelling a lot. He's getting his monthly pension about only 8,000 pesos a month.

> My mom is a BS Commerce graduate but since then she's a housewife since they got married.

>They both have conjugal properties such as our present house and lot, 2 vehicles, 1 residential lot owned by mom and another one owned by dad in the province.

> we dont have a business. They get their finances from my sister who's a manager in a BPO industry, my father's social security benefits.

In short, i guess we were bankrupt 5+ years ago and now we couldnt bring back the past lux of life we had, but we are a very happy family inspite pf the shortcomings.

So, im afraid of the fact of parents' denial for a tourist visa because of my parents' current financial status.. ???

Your parents must provide strong ties to the country that will compel them to come back after their visit. I know some that are retired and had a hard time getting a B2 Visa and was denied several times despite of their properties.

But then, you can never tell until they actually try.

Focus on your K1 journey now and when you have your citizenship you can petition them

And wait and wait and wait.

With those limited reasons to return to the Philippines I think you will be spending application fees for a denial. If your finances permit you can try but don't expect a positive result.

This is the time to "let go" and begin a new chapter in your life. After settling in you can visit them in the Philippines and once you become a citizen then bring them over. Right now it's about your future.
