What does this mean?

I have limited income (Disability), but why would I need a sponsor? Who would be a sponsor?  Not sure I understand that

Note though: You don't need a squeaky clean police record to get in, it just makes it easier.

I think the only thing that surprises me, that surprises others, is that admitting to drug use or being caught using drugs is STILL bad, even if it's legal in some states. Some people think since it's legal in a state in the US, that they can go about the medical and talk about drug use no problem because they don't know that state and federal are two different levels and drugs are illegal across the board federally, which means it's a big no no if you wanna immigrate.

Personally, I see that as an obvious thing, but I guess that one in particular goes past A LOT of peoples heads.

So I'm a USC petitioning for my fiance in Cuba within the next month, however, I was convicted with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana less than 2 oz back in 2007. I did probation and all that good stuff, but the I-129F only asks if I have had 3 or more convictions for crimes relating to a controlled substance or alcohol not arising from a single act. I assume they only really care about the beneficiary having a criminal record and/or drug abuse record.. But, should I submit a separate piece of paper stating that I only had 1 conviction and do not use anymore? Or just leave it checked as no and leave it alone unless asked in the interview?

Too much information can hurt your case if it's unnecessary. If you did not have THREE or more convictions in this case, then you don't need to put anything. Yes, you CAN send it out if you want, but it's not required of you.

They do care about the petitioner having crimes when it is the three or more crimes and types of crimes, I don't think your 2 oz of marijuana is going to hurt you, and I wouldn't disclose it unless asked.

This is a very good addition, it'd be lovely if it could be somewhere in the sticky/instruction. A lot of people seem to have got an RFE that asks to prove that the site they met on is not an IMB. A seemengly small detail, but it can make the wait longer.

Agreed, this needs to be in a sticky/in the main guide. Pretty much nobody would even think to include this in their submission unless they do A LOT of research digging through threads on this site before hand. Luckily I read the RFE master list before I sent in my packet, but if you simply go by the USCIS rules and guidelines, there's no way you'd know to include it.

You still have to make enough money to prove your future spouse wont use means tested benefits or find a friend or family member willing to be sued by the US government if you cant provide this assurance.

Please look up the I-864p on the USCIS website  as well as the I-134 and I-864.  The I-134 is needed for the k1 interview and the I-864 is needed for the adjustment of status.

5- Be sure you have original birth Certificate.

This is not true. If you are mailing it with I-129F, then it a copy of certified of birth certificate, not original. They won't  send you back anyway.
