I went to the medical examn yesterday in Cd Juarez and when the doctor asked me if if I ever did drugs I was an idiot and told her yes when I was 16 now I'm 37, then she sent me to the psychologist and after that they sent me to do an urine test, I have my interview on tuesday and here I am so worried about this whole stupid answer I never would've given them, I have a 6 years old daughter that I left back in usa along with my newborn that I barely saw him like 4 days after he was born and I'm feeling so depressed about my stupidity that I just did on that mesical examn, my visa interview is on spril the 5th, what can I do if someone knows I really want to hear it,

Usually it is just a delay, one year is the norm.

if you get your medical exams with you that means everything is ok and you ready to go otherwise if you anit get the medical with you they send you to take a treatment my opinion says you are good to go back to us

Experimenting with drugs more than 5 years ago normally just requires a urine test.

If you have had an evaluation and you explained it was over 20years ago and you havnt done any illegal substances since then don't worry. They won't make you wait a year. It's down to the CO to let it slide or not. I'm sure you will be fine.

There's lots of people who went through the same situation as you.

It would have been way worse if you had lied and they found out.

Please don't beat yourself up for this. If you lie and get caught, consequences are far worse.

Now, did you get anything from them? Did they say they would send the results to the consulate?

And one question: how is the psychological evaluation? What do they ask? I'm just curious about that.

She said she would send everything like it was and they gave me a black envelope with all the papers that I have to turn in to the CO, but she said that it was nothing to worry about since it happened only once was when I was 16 (underage) but she still made me sign a paper for that, they ask if you are a drug abuser or a drug addict, and if you have a harmfull behavior, domestic violence and all that, but what it really makes me mad is that they can't decide how you really are just in 5 freaking minutes of interview, for me that is BS, cause if you say something wrong that is enough for them to say you have a problem with something, basically once you say something you can't take it back or they tell you to be sure of what you are gonna say cause for them you are already lying and that goes direct to the CO, I didn't like it at all and I never expected to be like this, because I was wearing whatever clothes and it seems that they check your image and make their statements or whatever they right according to what you look like, I think that is not fair, but oh well we are here now, first God everything goes ok, I am missing my little ones and my wife so bad,

How would they find out if she would have lied?

Honesty is always the best policy. If you are asked a direct question, give a direct and truthful answer in return.

YMMV.

It happens, people say one thing in the medical and another in the visa interview accidentally or they have some relationship evidence referencing it such as chat logs.

Hell I almost mentioned a trip to Amsterdam and even though I didn't partake it would have been a pain in the mikta to explain that.

Its always best to tell the truth, but this is so far back only yourself & God knew it

in that room, I don't know how many yrs if admitted to using but any card can play

I know it will be up to the CO upon reading the report to decide, hopefully in your

favor, don't feel bad because you were honest
