While browsing timelines I noticed manyl k-1 applications for Haitian beneficiaries that got NOA2 within 3 weeks, some even in 1 week! I'm just so curious to know as to what causes a given country to be prioritized.

Depends. Natural disasters are a main reason for temporary expedites.

I don't think it has anything to do with countries I have seen cases from Haiti used to take well over a year, maybe the tide has been turned. I guess it depends on how you look at it. This site is to give an estimate not to judge on certain countries. Having said that, overall I noticed that the Philippines process for k-1 was shorter overall but that's my opinion.

Yes, the Philippines were being expedited before due to a typhoon.

And I agree with the poster above. Some cases just seem to be processed faster than others, no matter what country the beneficiary is from. Also, processing times go up and down all the time in general at the service center(s).
