thanks! and no, I don't drink it straight, although I'm ashamed to admit that after my abstinence period in germany I did drink it straight when I finally foud it.

Usually we eat bananas with it or we use it to bake desserts.

I use that to drink with lipton tea!

Hey let me know when you found the right yogurt, I would like to try that brand! Thanks!

I'm still investigating, but I already found a good yogurt! the brand is called liberté and I found it in Kroger. it didn't say anything about low-fat or less sugar so I got the vanilla one. it is really good, normal taste and texture. I might still prefer the ones at home but this are definitely good, I totally recommend it.

I also tried "noose" and lifeway's kefir but I didn't like them. the kefir was just like any other American yogurt and the noose was actually fine, but it came with those fruity sauces at the bottom to mix with, which isn't my favorite, especially to mix with cereal, but you might like that.

When I lived in germany I was desperate to find something we had in Chile but germany didn't have. It translates to "condensed milk" and it was from Nestle. I was happy when I went to a big supermarket and found that they imported the Nestle condensed milk from turkey! that leads me to believe that maybe I'd like some dairy products more in Turkey probably than germany or now america :P

It is odd you didn't find the condensed milk in German since it is really common. It is called Gezuckert Kondensmilch (and sometimes even Milch Mädchen) and can be bought in tube and in a can. It is usually in the same aisle as the coffee. And it is from Nestle usually, but they have other brands also.

I did find it eventually, in both formats, but in the small town where I lived they didn't have it. I had to get it at stores in bigger cities nearby

Op:

None of the yogurt taste the same here compared to home. I'm guessing it has to do with the homogenized and pasteurized process, along with all the additives. Buy a yogurt machine off of amazon. They are cheap enough and work well.

Re butter. Try the English butter. Kerry gold comes to mind, I know Kroger and Publix sells it, possibly walmart also. It has a higher cream content, may taste a little more familiar to your tongue
