We had our interview today in NYC.

It was very quick but we didn't get approved on the spot - case held for review :( Details below:

Interview was scheduled for 10:15. We got there around 10:05 and it took us a while to get through security and do all the necessary check ins on different floors. But almost as soon as we did the last check in, we got called in for the interview. The officer (a lady) was very pleasant and didn't seem stern. The interview seemed to last for just 10 minutes. We got sworn in, then she asked questions to verify the stuff in our forms (Names, parents' names, DOB and place of birth, where we work, when was my last entry to the US and what was my visa at that time, whether we were married before or had children). The only extra question she asked my USC husband was how we met (he had to explain to her what Tinder is and he was quite awkward doing that lol), Then she looked at the birth certificate and marriage certificate originals and asked me those obligatory "no" questions.

And that's it - she handed us the "held for review" notice right away.

She didn't ask for any additional documents or photos. We only originally submitted the lease, two affidavits and maybe 2 months worth of joint account statements and today we brought so much more stuff... So I offered her to take it and she said - ok, I'll put it in your file.

I'm a little bit bummed. I guess the fact that we weren't asked any tricky questions or weren't asked for more paperwork means it's all good but it's waiting and waiting again and it's been 9.5 months since we've filed

Our interview was last Wednesday February 1 in NYC. We didn't get approved on the spot but the officer told us she is going to do background check and we should get a mail in 2 weeks. Today 1 week later I got a text that new card is being produced. Hopefully by next week I get the card.

Don't worry ElliePro you will get your approval soon!

Great! Came home to approval notices in my mailbox, these letters were dated Friday February 3. The USPS tracking number provided shows my greencard should be arriving tomorrow. So these mails were actually sent out before my case status was updated online.

We had our interview on 02/09, didnt get approved on the spot. Today the status changed and says "New card is being produced".

We are like 3 weeks away from our 2-year marriage anniversary. We will have to spend additional $$$ to remove conditions. I am not sure how it will work, since one is suppose to remove condition 90 days before the card expires.

The two year mark calculated from the day you got your green card, not marriage date.

Ah I see, so if the card arrives on friday, its 2 years from that date. Thank you for clarifying

Hi Guys,

We too filed in April 2016. Got receipt of acceptance April 8th. Biometric done a month later, got the EAD and AP card in 2 months after that. But since then there has been no movement on the file. We filed service request last month and there has been no contact about that either. 30 days on the request will be up tomorrow so i will call customer service on Monday to see what is going on but is anyone else having similar delays?

Thanks :)
