hello everyone i need some advice ... im april filer too ... i received my 10 years green card but im expecting 2 years conditional green ? its this possible ?

thank for the help and hoping to hear all your answer very soon ......

Has it been 2 years since the date you were married till the date they approved your AOS(like your interview date if you had one or the date on the approval letter if your interview was waive)? If so, yes, it's possible to get a 10 year GC. Otherwise, USCIS made an error on your GC, -'d you should contact them to get it fixed. I remember there is another similar case like yours here on VisaJourney.

Like I said, there are several cases have been discussed here in VisaJourney and indicated the 10 year green card should be an error and you should contact the USCIS. Here are some cases for your info:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/465679-my-wife-k1-visa-got-a-10-years-greencard-instead-of-a-2-years-greencard-too-good-to-be-truth/

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/576583-conditional-2-year-green-card-or-10-year-green-card-for-k1/

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/533165-received-10-yr-gc-instead-of-conditional-2-yr-card/

Basically, my understanding is that the expiration date on the card is an error. Although it's shown 10 years on your GC, in the eyes of USCIS, your GC is still conditional and subject to ROC. It's recommended for you to contact USCIS or your local office to verify and get the mistake corrected or it'd be more hassle for you when it actually comes to ROC and you missed it.

By the way, if you didn't AOS from K1, but still skipped the interview step, you are the lucky one for sure! Haha! Good luck!!!

Hi there. I had my interview on the 29th of last month, only a few days ago. All went well I think and now we are just awaiting USCIS response. Good luck to all.

Our interview was scheduled for Feb 8 according to the case status change, now waiting on the letter to come in. (I didn't file any SRs or contact congressmen or whatever. Judging by the USCIC local office processing dates, it would have been some time in February so I was just waiting)

Hopefully it means I don't need to file for my EAD renewal this spring.

AOS

04/29/2016 - priority date

05/31/2016 - biometrics appointment

08/04/2016 - EAD in hand

02/08/2017 - Interview - Case held for review - Later same day status update "Card is being produced"

02/16/2017 - GC in hand!

ROC

11/15/2018 - packet signed for

12/17/2018 - biometrics appt

02/01/2019 - I551 stamp (no NOA1 received)

12/17/2019 - approved

N400

12/27/2019 - filed online

1/22/2020 - biometrics

4/1/2021 - interview

4/30/2021 - oath
