Congratulations. I got mine about a week now. I went to social security the very same day. I took all my documents. What I gave her was my EAD, a form or ID (passport) and my marriage certificate. She proceeded to copy everything after filling out some information at the computer. She then asked me to verify my information on one of the printed sheets and gave me a confirmation page which indicates that I have been in to apply for a social security number card and that I will take about "4 WEEKS" due to them now having to verify the EAD with immigration. (I could have slapped her with the paper she gave me) yes another waiting period but it's better than nothing at all.

Good luck and congrats again.

My husband received his AP and EAD card today. Also, our AOS finally updated on the USCIS website. It says that the fingerprint fee was received on April 22, 2016. I hope it doesn't take much longer to get the GC.

My interview is scheduled for this Thursday and I have received the interview notice last month. Just a few days ago, the online status for my I-485 became invalid and it's shown user define error or something. I did some research and found someone else had the same problem. He said the interview officer told him his alien number was invalid and needed to assign him a new number. Hopefully this is just their computer error and it's easy to fix. Anyone had similar situation lately?

Yeah, approved! We had 2:25PM interview today at Detroit office. Got there around 1:30PM and waited outside till around 1:50pm ish since the interview letter saying "don't be there more than 30 mins earlier". In fact, no one there didn't even care much about it as long as you are not super early I guess. Waited till around 2:40pm and got called in. The lady was extremely nice. She checked out ID and asked us to take the oath. Before she got into the standard question like how we met, she questioned me on my last entry on a tourist visa. I explained my situation that we didn't plan AOS but consular process at the first but things changed at my work so I decided to stay and she said that's cool. Then she asked us if we wanted to submitted any additional documents that were not included in the original package which would be our joint car insurance and health insurance which I wasn't able to get at beginning without a EAD/SSN. Then just some Yes/No standard questions and she said she would approve us this afternoon. I asked the questions that my online status all sudden became invalid. She's like that's not a big deal. It could be just merged or computer glitch. Sometimes that happens to some cases have been scheduled. Then she explained the removal of condition and we should receive the green card within 3 weeks.

Around 6pm when on our way home. I received a text notice saying there is an update about my case. The online status became valid now saying "new cars is being produced"!

Good luck to everyone else on this journey.

You have to ask for the stamp and usually they will only grant it if there is an emergency travel plan you have outside the country before you may receive your green card. I didn't ask tho. Lol

Have you received your GC yet? How long does it take from being produced to being mailed? Mine was being produced on Aug 4th and case approved on the 5th. Trying to get a rough idea so I can plan on booking my flight tickets. Haha

Our interview was scheduled for the 14th of September!! :o I really wasn't expecting it til like November. For the visa interview we were beyond prepared. I did tons and tons of research on what to expect. For this one I've done none! But I'll get to it now.

Congratz to all new approvals!
