I am an early April filer. We sent a Rfie back for the I864 and it was received on 5/24. I haven't heard anything and looking at peoples timelines I am starting to get little bit worried. It seems like at most its taking 2 weeks for the ead to be ordered after receiving the Rfie. Any insights?

Filed in late March. Still just shown "fingerprint fee received" and no sign of EAD either. Haven't heard anything since biometrics done in early May. Any Michigan filer here?

Hi there,

Chances are you will be hearing something about your EAD by the end of this month mainly because that will be the end of your three months period for getting a response on your EAD.

As for your status still saying "fingerprint fee received", you might want to try one of two things or both.

1. Call USCIS and inquiry about your case and put in a service request.

2. Call your field office where you had your biometrics done and set up an info-pass appointment to go and sit with an officer to discuss your concerns about the no updates about your EAD.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am hoping the EAD to be approved by the end of this month. I was thinking to wait till 90 days is up and then to call the USCIS inquiring about my EAD as well as the case status of I-485. Our field office is about 4 hours away. So I think I'll just call them then. Thank you again. Fingeracrossed! :)

You are most welcome. Also, take a look at your timeline if you haven't already and you will see that this site has given you an estimated EAD and AP expectancy period:

EAD (between June 15 and June 28)

AP (between June 10 and June 19)

Even though they do have different expectancy periods, keep in mind they typically get approved together and come together.

I am eagerly awaiting some sort of response as well. I am growing tired of sitting at home and not working. My timeline is a bit close to yours and i do hope we get our answers soon.

Hang in there.

Congratulations to you on your I-130 approval.

When did you submit your applications? I tried to look at your timeline but it appears you don't have one. Can you give us a rundown from when you submitted to getting approved?

Congrats! So you actually filed separately. I was wondering how your I-130 would be approved cause if you filed concurrently, it'd not be approved until you finished your interview usually. Anyway, good luck to you!

I called the USCIS this morning and got the same info I could just get online by myself and the lady was not very helpful saying i could not put a service request for my EAD until the 90 days. To be honest, I can literally get more info here on VJ than her. Lol

I didn't k know if I could just ask to speak to tier 2 directly who might have more info about my case as I might sound very rude. Can anyone share your experience? Can you just ask tier 1 to transfer you to tier 2 right away? Or it's totally up to them whether they would like to escalate your case to tier 2 level?
