Yesterday husbands case status changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" :D

That was A LOT faster than we expected. We were prepared to wait patiently until October. Now we wait anxiously for the letter in the mail to see what the next steps are.

How are you all doing today? It's June 1st and for some of us, we are one month closer. For new filers, welcome and good luck.

Analisa,

Congratulations on getting one more step closer. I myself have filed in April (12th) my status online hasn't change to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" but we are hopeful that since your husband's status has changed, maybe mine would as well. Looks like we should be getting EAD and AP and an interview around the same time. Keep us posted as to when you receive your EAD and congratulations once again.

No word on my EAD however my status did change online from case received to "case is now ready to be scheduled for an interview"

I sure hope this means something good is happening.

Hey Everybody.

Finally mailing off my wife I-130 and I-485 on Monday April 4 2016

Met my wife in Brazil June 2005 married in Nov. 2005 lived and started a family in Brazil for 10 years we have 2 girls 9 and 2 that have dual citizenship. Went to visit my family in the US a few times in 10 years.

Nov. 2015 came to visit family and decided to make the stay permanent. Got a job rented a home established residence and started researching the process. So here we are praying everything goes well.

Did you get your 797 for your 485 in the mail yet? We got notice for an RFIE on 06/01/16 so was a little curious. After 10 years you shouldn't have too much have to prove I would think.

Hi all!

Status just updated to add the receipt for the RFIE being in the mail on 06/01 here. I'm waiting to hear what they are looking for too. Hoping for proof of relationship. We are going to take that as a very good sign if that happens as possible to bypass interview and temp green card. Our status went from about 5 weeks of case ready to schedule interview to then getting the notice that an RFIE letter was sent.

Hi rob

Yes I received 797 on 4-23 check my timeline for both 485 and 130. on 5-20 received RFIE on 485, I filed my taxes before april 15 so I did not include my tax return for 2015 so they want my 2015 return. Also RFIE they wanted a copy of my wifes birth certificate. In Brazil when you get married they take the birth certificate and it is replaced with the marriage certificate lucky for us she had an old copy we had translated and sent it with the taxes.

As for proving our marriage is legitimate all i sent was 3 photos 1 at our wedding 1 of our first daughter after she was born and 1 of our second daughter after she was born. Also we lived in Brazil for 10 years before we decided to come to the US.

You didn't get a hard copy of 797? if not call and let them know.

Good luck.

6/2005 we met in Brazil, I returned to US we stayed in contact.

9/2005 returned to Brazil asked her to marry me. :dancing:
