Hi, hope everybody is doing fine, i just started working last month in the 21th, the week in my job start from SAT to Fri , every week pay in fridays , we started in 21, and we get paid yesterday the first April, i thought i'm going to get paid for the last complete week in March + the 5days starting from 21 to 25 but the check shows just a little hours i guess that cover the 5days, what about the last week? now new week just started today ?

Thanks for your clarification

Each place of business has different ways they pay. Some are a week behind, some two weeks. Someplaces pay one check a c=month. I would check with you payroll department or HR to see how the calculate your pay.

hi

no, if you get paid bi-weekly, meaning twice a month, the week you get paid will be included in the next paycheck

you work 2 weeks and the following week you get paid for those 2 weeks, and the week of the payday will be included on the next paycheck

Thanks, in my job they pay Every week in Fridays, i see that the pay will be always 1 week behind, so if i decide to leave the job one day i dont know if i will get paid for the week behind or no

Since I am currently working in a payroll department I can assure you it is normal for the "pay period" to close a week prior to the pay check being received which means you will always be one week behind. When you leave that job you will get a check for that last week, you have to, by law, be paid for all the hours you work. After the pay week closes the processor has run reports and send them to the units for verification, make corrections, then release the checks to be printed or sent to your bank account. You will not believe how many people contact us the day prior to payday about "I forgot to clock in" or "I forgot to turn in my hours" can I get it on the check tomorrow......um hell no. those checks are already printed and on their way.

Hey belinda! Thanks for your information! I might probably ask u some further info when I get a job regards to payroll :)

Hey nooha, yeah I agree its hard to find because there are alot of concerns such as for me, language barrier got alittle difficulty listening to southern accent, environment, work pace, etc. I've been using indeed.com to search for jobs, still looking, its hard to look for a job at my area because I do not have a second car. I will need to depend on my husband's car, so I have to look for jobs around his working area. Hopefully I can find one soon. I can't finance for a second car at the moment till I get a job. Owell but gonna keep finding.
