Hi guys! I am kinda confused about the nvc stage. I got the news that my case has been received at the nvc yesterday if not the day before and I do not know what i should do. When i go on the ceac website and enter my case number given to me by an nvc officer, it just say Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

When I click on the first link it gives me these instructions:

Step 1: Choose an agent

Step 2: Pay fees

Step 3: Submit visa application form

Step 4: Collect financial documents

Step 5: Collect supporting documents

Step 6: Submit documents to the NVC

Should I do something or should I ignore these and just wait for them to send my case to the embassy and wait for the packet 3 and 4? Please someone help me :)

Do as instructions say

1. you only need an agent if you are using one / otherwise you are your own agent and not going thru a lawyer

2. pay the fees

3. submit the applicaiton

4 collect supporting documents

5 submit them to NVC / nothing will happen to your case untill NVC has all these

6, when sending any documents put the case number on each and every page in upper right hand corner / some say to also put both DOB

good luck / the sooner they have all these the faster your case will get worked on

You do nothing right now. NVC will forward your case to Montreal and Montreal will send you packet 3 (or you can download packet 3 when the case tracker says ready). NVC is just a stopover for K1s before they forward it to the appropriate embassy.

Perfect! Thank you for your answer! :)
