im wondering what about those who filled in vermont , how long should we wait . im so stressed

Ditto. I think realistically we will have to wait until April or May until we can file a service request.

We won't see any movement from Vermont for at least 3-4 more months. If your extension letter runs out you can get a stamp in your passport so you can continue to work and travel.

We received an RFE a few weeks ago, while we thought we had provided plenty of evidences I guess they wanted more. We hurried to gather everything we could think of to add and sent it out.

I was expecting a reception receipt this week and instead my status just changed to 'New card is being produced'. We thought the RFE(first one we got in the whole process) would have added a few months, so it was a big(and pleasant) surprise! :)

Are you legally separated? Are you going thrugh divorce? I think if the answer is "no" to any if those questions, just change your address with them as always and if they call for interview you should go with him and I think pretend nothing bad happned. But it depends how much he want to help you... if you guys not together then idk.. fill out wiaver and wait till your divirce is final. Yuli get rfe when you'll submit the divirce paper.

Unfortunately, Nizounette, those of us who filed at the Vermont Service Center just have to wait. No one from VSC has even gotten an RFE yet - and I don't think any of us will until at least February or March. Even the California Service Center has slowed down, and December is a terrible month for filers as so many USCIS workers will be taking holidays.

I understand how painful it is to wait - especially if your home situation is not that good. Try not to worry too much as it's going to be a while before any news comes through.

I would be very careful now that you have a new address.

my lawyer once showed me a long time ago a case that was denied because the USCIS reviewer did a "public records" search online and found different addresses for the couple.

it turned out the girl was living with her parents and not with the husband as they said in the application.

so USCIS definitely checks public records. I'm not sure if they do it on every case but I've seen the denial letter and it looked pretty scary.

So whenever you have a credit card with your new address, that address becomes publicly searchable in their system. It's like checking your credit report.

They have access to all of that.

if you are a Vermont filler you still have 5 months ahead or so at least.

by that time you will be living separate by 7 months.

i hope this is not gona happend , but iv read that if the couple get divorced before gettong the 10 years gc , u just have to show evidence that theariage was real , and me and my husband sent enough evidences when we submit the file.

this is a nightmare

Don't go in with that "ppl can move for jobs or whatever" attitude ...It will seal your fate. That's not the reason why you guys now live separately right? I've downplayed a few things to easy rational truthful explanations and that almost denied me a GC. It's like they wanted me to makeup something compelling/dramatic.
Your best bet right now is to keep your fingers crossed while you sit tight and wait. If you get a RFE and you are unable to produce the documents requested, your chances of being called for a second interview will be more likely. You should hope that the change of address do not trigger a RFE.
It is possible that your marriage fell apart like any other good faith marriage where things just didn't work out. But it's also possible that you entered into a 2 year deal like a lot of people do and the 2 year period has ended. Immigration officers have seen it all. The burden of proof will be on you to show that your marriage was in fact the real deal and not a sham to gain immigration benefits. If I were you I would start stockpiling evidence... Overlook nothing. If you do get called for a second interview - GET A LAWYER. I would consult with an attorney as soon as a RFE comes in if that's the case.
Best of luck to you.
