Got approved on the 21st, received GC on the 31st.

Did you also receive a physical approval letter in mail prior to receiving the GC ? Some of us received the physical approval letter in mail but not the GC. The online status still showing card in production.

From the past few pages it seems like the VSC has not progressed on any of the April applications.

I do have a quick question: To travel outside the country, are the green card and the letter that states the 1 year extension the only documents needed (of course in addition to the passport of citizenship)? Thank you for the clarification.

That is quite correct - Passport, NOA1 letter, and expired GC.

received new green card in the mail on oct 29.

received physical approval letter on oct 29, same day as green card.

good day for mail. both were appreciated. one more than the other. : )

BlessedMe - the receipt number is the second number on your biometrics appointment notice, not the number on your Notice of Action.

I received my 2 year green card in early 5/2014. NOA1 from CSC is 4/11/2016. If I still don't hear anything in the future, can I apply for citizenship this coming February? And how does that work? I'm trying to calm myself down cause the wait is really getting on my nerves. Thanks :)

I'm in the same boat as you and I'm sure a lot of others here as well. I have every intention to move forward with filing for citizenship even if conditions have not yet been removed. It's allowed by USCIS.

"2. Spouses with Pending ​P​etitions and Naturalization Applications​

​
An application for naturalization may not be approved if there is a pending petition for removal of conditions.​ ​If an applicant’s petition to remove conditions is pending at the time of filing or is filed prior to the interview, USCIS will adjudicate the petition to remove conditions prior to or concurrently with the adjudication of the naturalization application.​ [6] ​"
To everyone else at VJ. I really appreciate the invaluable info I've gotten from this forum. Wish I'd found VJ prior to filing my AOS application (was my second time). I'll build my timeline and share more information eventually. Hopefully soon.
