I wonder what the reasons could be for the delay in our biometrics. We got our NOA1 around the same time as everyone else. USCIS did mispell my wife's name on the NOA1 so we had to get that changed, which we still haven't received confirmation on yet, but would that delay everything else? It sucks that we have to pay for the mistakes made at USCIS.

Sukie,

The initial dates may have been a typo. tkdwls0131 is on the VSC list for 4-20/4-25/6-10 timeline. That sounds more like a VSC timeline. Late May filing with a 6-10 Biometrics will be nothing short of a miracle (I believe in miracles by the way)

I filed my application in April at VCS. That was reason why It was time to update another report to 2016 April VCS Google Doc data!

That is correct. I was updating specific info for the people who received their NOA1 around my time and waiting for a biometrics appt letter. Just letting you guys know that it took about 2-3 weeks after NOA1 arrived.

Does the ROC process depend on the passport? I will be renewing my passport in few months and wanted to know if I have to let USCIS know about it!

As far as I know, you don't have to inform them but it's very important you have a valid (unexpired) passport all the time. You may want to keep the older passport for future correspondence with USCIS.

I still haven't gotten biometrics letter yet. I also can't check the status in the online case status search bar. It keeps coming up saying that the number is invalid. I put the number WITH the EAC part and have carefully checked each time I tried, still invalid.

I got my NOA1 on 5/17, saying they received the application on 4/28.

02/01/2013 - Notified via e-mail that the petition had been accepted

02/05/2013 - Notified the alien registration number has been changed

07/01/2013 - USCIS website page for my case updated - K1 Petition Approved, NOA2 mailed

07/15/2013 - Visa paperwork arrived at NVC

07/23/2013 - Visa paperwork arrived at U.S. Embassy in Tokyo - Packet 3 mailed

08/12/2013 - Interview at U.S. Embassy scheduled for 9:00 a.m. - APPROVED!!!!
08/29/2013 - Flight booked for U.S.

10/05/2013 - Wedding date planned

You cannot check your status using the number from the NOA1. You must wait until you get your biometrics letter. Look in the lower right corner for "Application Number 2". It will still start with EAC.
