Fellow filers,

I need some advice. In my original I-751 submission, I did not include my tax return/account transcripts from the IRS (didn't know about them). Now that I have them, should I go ahead and mail them to the VSC along with a cover letter? My original submission arrived at VSC on 04/25/16 but as of 05/03/16, neither has my check been cashed, nor have I received the NOA. Will sending these documents separately push me to the back of the processing queue?

I don't have any official knowledge, but on the NOA notice I just received, it has a paragraph about submitting additional supporting documents and attaching a copy of the NOA if you do. So if I were you, I would wait until you get the NOA, and then send the tax info in along with a copy of the NOA so they can be assigned to the right case file. I would worry that if you do it now, since they haven't processed your file yet, that they would get lost in the shuffle.

Anyone have more official info on this?

Yep. I'm so happy that California folks are moving along, and so depressed that VSC appears to have shut down. I just went and looked at the April 2015 forum. One poor person is still waiting a year later!

Good afternoon April Filers! My packet arrived at VSC on April 19, 2016 and check has not been cashed yet. Is anybody else experiencing same issue?


Fellow filers,

I need some advice. In my original I-751 submission, I did not include my tax return/account transcripts from the IRS (didn't know about them). Now that I have them, should I go ahead and mail them to the VSC along with a cover letter? My original submission arrived at VSC on 04/25/16 but as of 05/03/16, neither has my check been cashed, nor have I received the NOA. Will sending these documents separately push me to the back of the processing queue?

Mine arrived at VSC on April 19 and my check still has not been cashed either!

Filed I-751 @ VSC on 4/11, still no NOA or cashed check. I called today and they said they can't even look me up until 30 days. PR card expired on 4/19, so we're sweating a bit. They said it should be fine, if it's actually lost I'll just need to apply again with proof that I filed the first one (tracking and receipt).

My money says it's bed bugs again.

Thanks for writing that out. I was worried about that exact same issue. My wife's GC expires at the end of this month, and I'm worried that we won't receive the NOA1 before then. I was also worried that the USCIS didn't have the right address for us on file and would send any NOA or packet rejections to our old address. It's good to know that if it is lost or rejected for some reason that we can refile with proof that we submitted on time the first time. HUGE sigh of relief.

Far as I can see I've complied with all the requirements and it's still legal for me to live and work in the US
