Not going to be very happy if we don't AT LEAST see some checks being cashed for the VCS today or tomorrow. They had their month off. I'm sure not every sends in their packets the full 3 months ahead of time for various reasons. Every other I-751 thread, even in year's past had checks cashed and NOA1s sent through within a week and a half at most.

Maybe it's choking them this year? Don't know why else they've just stopped everything. If I didn't at least get that delivery confirmation, I would have NO proof that I applied and it's like "did I apply or imagine I did". I really hope to get at least noa by end of May cause I don't want to have problems at my workplace. Right now I have NO proof. Showing a delivery receipt won't cut it with employer. And my employer follows all rules and am sure I will get asked.

2/5/2014- Email/Txt I130 approved and notice mailed.

2/21/2014-Letter sent to request conversion for old I485 from employment to marriage with copy of I485 receipt and I130 approval
03/19/2014 - Service request to check on conversion request status.
04/04/2014 - Service request status through mail stating request received for conversion and file being prepared for transfer to local office.
04/08/2014 - I485 updated to "transferred to local office"
04/12/2014 - Received transfer notice in mail stating file transferred from Nebraska to NBC Lee Summit, Montana (so disappointed as I thought it was at local office now).
04/14/2014- emailed Nebraska and scopscata to see what's going on with file due to conflicting info I've gotten and NBC doesn't even show processing I485.
04/14/2014- Got response from scopscata saying will look into email, forward to resolution team.
04/14/2014- I485 updated to "485 was transferred and is now being processed at USCIS office"
04/25/2014- Text message and case update online "testing and interview" stage.
05/06/2014- Text message and case update online with interview date of June 11, 2014.
06/05/2014-Notice sent by NYC acting district director/office that interview date is Aug 21, 2014.....??????????? No change online
06/11/2014 - Interview for AOS. I130 was already attached. Approved and got passport stamped. YAY. Thank God.
06/19/2014 - Case updated online with text and email saying new card mailed.....

06/21/2014-Condtional GC received along with welcome letter.

This is definitely the scary part. I called the National Customer Service Center and told them it had been 28 or 29 days since we mailed in our petition and they said the NOA1 would probably come tomorrow ( :rofl: ) because it is usually within 30 days. I was told to call back if it didn't come on the 30th day and they would help us follow up on the process.

30 days for us is on Thursday, GC expires next week, and we have an Infopass appointment on Friday. I hope our application materials and the tracking number showing delivery will be enough.

VSC seems to have been pretty slow last year as well. Per this sample post from the 2015 thread, there were people with VSC applications from 4/9/15 still waiting for NOA1s as of 5/6/15.

Hello,

Our package to VSC was received on 4/9 and we havn't received any updates yet. My wife's green card was set to expire next Monday.

We decided to make an infopass appointment at our local USCIS office, hoping to get an I551 stamp. We took the I-791 receipt notice (the one from USPS) as our only proof.

When we met the officer, we were told, unless our number is in the system, they cannot do any thing. But to our big surprise, our number was in the system, and was updated today morning! They told the check should be cashed in 1-2 days! Finally, some good news!

To complete the story, they issued us the I551 stamp with validity for 6 months. It also looked totally different from the 1 year I551 she got during the CR1 process. We also ended up surrendering the about to expire green card. They said this stamp will be sufficient for permanent residence and any travel for the next 6 months.

Not sure the 1 year extension we will receive as part of NOA1 will ensure the validity for an additional 6 months, or do we have to get another i551 stamp after 6 months.

Anyway, seems like VSC should send updates shortly.

We received our NOA1 today. It is dated 4/19. Can someone update the list and also change our I-751 date to 4/16 (the date we mailed the package) ? (also I think misuzu's NOA1 date is 4/18, so maybe someone can update that too.)

Fellow filers,

I need some advice. In my original I-751 submission, I did not include my tax return/account transcripts from the IRS (didn't know about them). Now that I have them, should I go ahead and mail them to the VSC along with a cover letter? My original submission arrived at VSC on 04/25/16 but as of 05/03/16, neither has my check been cashed, nor have I received the NOA. Will sending these documents separately push me to the back of the processing queue?
