Is there anyone else with a NOA1 date of 4/4/16 or even earlier? Just wondering why still no response and can't help but to worry.

Don't worry, don't freak out. From what I can tell, they don't really go in order based on submission dates. It's just a general timeline. People with March NOA1s are still getting processed, so it's really a period of dates that are being processed, roughly between late March and mid-April at the moment. It will happen soon for you :)

However, if it gets deep into July, I would start worrying, lol.

For the fourth time in the past two weeks, my timeline has moved back a day. These are very good trends lately.

Thank you for the response! I just need to have a bit more patience. I really do hope it happens any day now because this waiting is driving me nuts. Glad the speed seems to be picking up as it was pretty slow for a while.

Absolutely normal. It's really all just a latter of luck. Doesn't matter if it's a more simple or complicated case. Could be just on the bottom of the bin, assigned to a less efficient working person. It will come. No worries

a complete guess -- but someone has been churning through a batch of late march/early-mid april petitions, and someone just started a mid-late April batch at the end of last week. That's probably why we see the difference in dates.

I used to work at [state] gov't office that processed forms/applications, here's how it worked

1. arrives in mail room

2. sorted into destination (some offices processed multiple types of forms) and boxed

3. boxes sent to local storage for the offices (somewhere in building)

4. office pulls a new box when available (FIFO at this point)

5. boxes of forms/apps are broken down into batches -- depending on the processing time and amount it could be 1-100. (no longer FIFO)

6. a clerk grabs a batch and works through it (given they were state employees, they did it at their own pace :))

although, the volume USCIS goes through, or at least the dept that processes I129Fs is probably much higher

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!

I don't know if USCIS even does background checks for these petitions, but if they do, it's likely through third-parties, which can make processing times vary as well.

Right there with you. Case received on 07 April. NOA1 less than a week later. We are 85 days into this stressful CSC / Philippines ride. Wondering why so many after us (and for the same country / visa) are getting approved. Makes me nervous

Looking to fly out to see my fiancé in America for the end of August for a couple of weeks. Considering we are currently awaiting our NOA2, predicted for the end of July, would it be better to just stick out missing each other?

Trying to think of when I could reasonably expect to be there permanently and also, if my trip would interfere with interview/medical dates back here in London.

Advice/opinions?

The one April 21 filer that you see is an expedited case (same for 1 of the April 21 ). Many K1 applications that had Haiti as the country are being expedited due to some special case exception (natural calamity if I'm not mistaken). You'll also notice the same in applications from May.

If you go back a couple of pages you'll see a post by me showing a table of the percent left by NOA1 date for timelines posted here on VJ. Right now April 11 is showing at 50% left and if you check the processing time here it will show the CSC going through April 4 NOA. If you go through the last 15 of Igors List youll see that some Feb & March applications are also being processed along with us. Think of it as a bell curve with the most # of approvals coming for the peak date but also some approvals coming on either side of the peak (I think oto said it was 2 weeks or so on each side ).

I wouldn't worry about it yet :)
