I dont know about being behind by a couple 100000. If you look at this they receive about 13000 I-29Fs per quarter and they clear out a good chunk too while having a pending pile

2015 - https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports%20and%20Studies/Immigration%20Forms%20Data/All%20Form%20Types/all_forms_performancedata_fy2015_qtr4.pdf

2016 - https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports%20and%20Studies/Immigration%20Forms%20Data/All%20Form%20Types/all_forms_performancedata_fy2016_qtr2.pdf

I would say maybe 30,000 behind or so would be right or even maybe even less ( I have a feeling im doing the math wrong here)

This underscores how miniscule our piece of their workload is, less than 1%. So even if I-129fs doubled, it's the difference between a drop in the bucket and two drops. Unless they're specialized, but I believe the workers there have to process multiple if not all form types. I don't think variations in our bucket have much effect on the whole picture.

I think the slowdown makes sense though if they had to prioritize seasonal H1-B expedites. Hopefully that was the reason, and with that cleared, they can start picking up the pace. Average days from NOA1 to NOA2 have decreased from a high of 90 days a few weeks ago, down to 87 and now 83 days for this week's batch of approvals. So trends are moving slowly in the right direction.

Apparently they get less petitions during the 4th and 1st quarters.

Trends of the I-129F petitions

-Less are filed during the winter months. From 4th quarter to 1st quarter (10% lower)

-More are submitted over the summer months. From 2nd and 3rd quarter (10% higher)

Trends of I-129F Approvals:

-More approvals happen generally over the winter months. From 4th quarter to 1st quarter.

It might have a lot to do with cheap airfare. Lol... Due to one of the requirements of having to meet in person it seems like people are filing when airfare is less expensive. I was going to travel last summer but couldnt because of work. I had never flown before so I didnt think there was a difference in price so I wasnt looking for a "deal". But 6 months later that same $1400 ticket was now $585. Wow! I could have gone almost 3 times for the price of my first ticket! Just a thought. Lol

Ive been reading your guys convo for days... And i am confused. Lol... Too many numbers for me. But what keeps nagging at me is how people keep saying "they're approving on average 5 cases a day". Or was it a week? Anyways... It only takes them 15 mins to approve an application once its finally picked up. So wether its approved or rfe wouldnt and average employee go through about 32 cases per day? And nobody knows how many people they have employed but lets say 5 people for example. Thats would be 160 k1's per week. I assume they dont work weekends but heres something strange.... Yesterday i got a notification from my app that a case similar to mine had been adjudicated. I thought maybe the app was behind so I looked into it... Sure enough! They issued a NOA2 yesterday on a Saturday! Wth! This process is so confusing. I figure just wait 75 to 95 days for NOA2 or RFE without trying to figure out how they work. Lol

I have 5...... I-129 in directly in front of me.. so I should know when the approval party starts for April 1st..... They caught a few things before it was sent to Dallas.. that would have been kicked bck... That's why we didn't make it for March ...

I used www.filipinafianceevisa.com/....

They caught a few things before it was sent to Dallas.. that would have been kicked bck... That's why we didn't make it for March ... So far Its been worth the money spent ... doing foster care and a full-time job couldn't have done it with out them

Good! Let me know when April starts! Lol

Not a bad plan, lol. It's interesting thinking about it though, while we have all this time.

They're processing way more than 5 a day. Based on the stats from Q2, I'd say they're currently processing 150-200 I129F cases a working day (don't know about weekends). They're doing about 5 VJ cases a day, but VJ is a smaller sample size. Roughly 250 VJ timelines for April right now, with an actual amount closer to 5,000 petitions from April, so it's a smaller percentage. Plus, not everybody on VJ updates their timelines, right?

Otmy makes a good point about reallocation of processing resources. They might have analysts moving between different units based on workload.

What theph said :) Im basically just running the numbers here on what is available. So the 5 per day is from members who are updating their timelines on VJ or talking about it on the message board. There could obviously be more since there are so many inactive users or deleted users (look at Igors List). If USCIS was approving only 5 cases per day it would be shameful LMAO

Our membership is only a small portion of the actual numbers being processed etc but it just provides a look in to how things are moving here and if we are getting closer to our month :) Maybe I should add a disclaimer that these numbers are for entertainment purposes only and may not reflect reality :)

Hey everyone! I have a question about uscis case status website even tho we got our receipt notice with email and with courier it still shows "we will send you a receipt notice" as the next step for my case. Dont they update their website or can there be an issue with my case?

Mine shows:

On XXXXXX, 2016, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

But my NOA1 is April 1st so maybe wait a few more days to see if they change it

Hi there, how do we know that there was a seasonal spike of H1-B expedites? And that they are done with those?

Just trying to follow the logic and hope the approvals pick up soon :)
