read the March 2016 filers thread. Someone posted a PDF with their inputs+outputs. They processed more in Q1 than they received, but there's still a backlog of about 600+ from before 2016 Q1

it's possible the November date they provide is the earliest received date of any petition that's still pending. That's the only way I can interpret that date

Make sense! I think you might be right. Well as of today the waiting is not too bad yet. Let's hope for late June or July, we're not too far behind !! Only one more month to go (March) and then we're next ! :)

Quick question... Does it take the same amount of time to get an rfe as it does a noa2? What I mean is the noa2's are taking between 2 and 3 months I guess. But if they find something to issue an rfe is it sooner? It would seem to me that an rfe should come sooner since it would be found earlier than getting to the final stage to a noa2. And has any April filers received rfe yet?

From what I understand, once they open your application they either accept it or issue an RFE within 15 mins. You would think that during the months and months it takes to hear from them they are working on your application for a majority of the time but apparently that isn't the case! So in answer to your question, I think that when you get an RFE that would have been when you would have gotten your approval if they hadn't issued the RFE.

This is a link to a Q and A with a former USCIS employee who explains how it all works... I found it interesting and thought others might too!

Timeline

Earlier this morning 05/12/16, I contacted USCIS because we have yet to receive our hard copy of our NOA1. I received a text that our paperwork was received on 04/48/16. They cases the check on 05/03/16. No mail was ever received. After a lengthy wait, I was on the phone with an immigration officer who processed the request. In asking questions I discovered he too was going through the exact same situation as he had married a woman from Japan on 03/01/16. I discovered they have no benefits or receive special consideration for expedite processing. He did state that CSC was slammed very hard and the wait times were getting longer. He also told me that the process for married spouses had sped up and now the wait time is the same as a K1 now.

if you look at the timeline tables, it appears they are going through petitions that were RFE'd. The 3 approvals from yesterday were all applicants who received RFEs. Speculation.

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!

Last week, they had an NOA2 for someone who rec'd their NOA1 3/24/16. Perhaps that can offer us a small ray of light. :)

I believe that was an expedited case. However, a March filer checked the previous 4000 cases before her case and saw 2 approvals....so that's something at least
