Our original estimate was 6/8-6/11. It is now 6/15-6/19. At this rate of setback, about 2 days added per week, I can't really expect a response until July, on our 4/13 NOA1. I know others have had it worse, but can't help feeling a bit disappointed at how rapid the slowdown has occurred.

My NOA1 came April 8th, and according to VJ I should expect NOA2 between June 8-12. But following recent trends and how its taking more and more time, I'm calculating this dates aprox:

NOA2 - JUN 26

NVC RECEIV - JUL 28

NVC APPROV - AUG 01

CONSULATE RECEIV - AUG 06

CONSULATE INTERV - OCT 17

I know it depends on a lot of factors, maybe the trends change and the process begin to shorten again or I get and RFE, but I'm trying to wait with this dates on my mind so I won't get desperate. :goofy:

How can you tell? On Igor's list it looks like only one person was approved yesterday and none were approved today. Is there somewhere else you can see updates?

So it's official the delay for the CSC, before the USCIS website stated "5 months" for I-129F, but now it says "November 16, 2015" which means by the explanation on their webpage that their experiencing delays. :(

That is terrible news

I just don't understand because even if they are getting tons of new applications all at once it shouldn't affect the time it takes for them to process the ones that they already have and yet according to Igor's list they have only been approving a few if any per day. I wan't to know what is causing them to operate so inefficiently...

They aren;t operate inefficiently... it's just the amount of petitions they get... they need to work on all of them because of other centers are not getting any...all I-129F are going to Cali :(

Right but they should still be able to approve the same amount per day that they had been before but it seems like they have basically slowed to a halt... Once they open each application it only takes 15 mins to approve or send an RFE so its not like they are working on all of the applications at once

My understanding is that they were routing all of the K-1s to California since March 27th of last year. Since they've been under 50 days on the trends except for the last 3 months, it seems to me like the slowdown would have appeared much earlier, if this was the only reason for it. Seems like something else is going on, more petitions this time of year, or less staff.

They may have another kind of petitions that they need to process faster ( premium processing ) . it's ~1200$ for the categories that are able to pay that and get extra fast proccesing...

There is also the fact that not everybody registers with VJ - looking for hope as it is really unbearable that such a simple process may extend to over 5 months something that without glitches is a couple of months worth. A shame our petitions didn't go when they were approving fast. Still there is a hope for a NOA2 on late June early July.

read the March 2016 filers thread. Someone posted a PDF with their inputs+outputs. They processed more in Q1 than they received, but there's still a backlog of about 600+ from before 2016 Q1

it's possible the November date they provide is the earliest received date of any petition that's still pending. That's the only way I can interpret that date

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!
