Okay that's good to know - I'll apply for my police certificate when I get paid at the weekend.

My fiancé moves like a sloth which is frustrating but I'm going to beg him to sort out the affidavit and other bits asap. What did you need to compile for it? I've read checklists so I have a rough idea but do you have any tips?

Where in the US are you? My fiancé is in Austin, Texas and I am in London.

Ha it sounds like we have very similar relationship dynamics- I have to harass my fiancé to get anything done.

In reality you won't need the affidavit until the interview so he has time but I completely understand wanting to have it all sorted! For ours we are using my mom as a co-sponser because I am in law school and don't make enough on my own yet being a full time student. She filled out form I 134, got a letter from her employer (stating how long she has worked there, salary, etc), and her last 3 years of tax returns (I think you only need the most recent year but she got extras just incase). I also filled out the I 134 form myself and got copies of my tax returns which I then found out I didn't need to do that since we are using a co-sponser but I figured he can take everything just in case.

I am from NY in a small town outside the city, my fiancé is from York. You are lucky that you are in London so you don't have to travel for the medical and interview!

Any guesses on how long we can expect it to take from NOA2 (CSC) to NVC receipt?

I saw some cumulative VJ stats that say 25 days, but I have seen a handful of couples with reports of only 7 days from NOA2 to NVC receipt.

cheers! Mike

My fiance moved to a new apartment. I see that there is a way to do an address change on the USCIS website, but is that only for my address or can I update hers as well. Or is it better just to call?

Thanks,

Omg I've felt exactly the same, I think that's the worse part (after missing my fiancé terribly), is not being able to completely live my life or make any serious decisions with our lives so up in the air. Hope everyone is hanging in there!

Hi CurlyCutie,

I understand though its case to case basis. Some might get their approval early some might not. It could be the delay was cause by RFEs or complex situations. Don't worry, lets all pray hard for our NOA2 to arrive any time soon. :)

My NOA1 came April 8th, and according to VJ I should expect NOA2 between June 8-12. But following recent trends and how its taking more and more time, I'm calculating this dates aprox:

NOA2 - JUN 26

NVC RECEIV - JUL 28

NVC APPROV - AUG 01

CONSULATE RECEIV - AUG 06

CONSULATE INTERV - OCT 17

I know it depends on a lot of factors, maybe the trends change and the process begin to shorten again or I get and RFE, but I'm trying to wait with this dates on my mind so I won't get desperate. :goofy:
