We applied last Monday and they told us 2-4 weeks, she said it can take up to 4 weeks due to them waiting for USCIS to update her POE info into the system.

My i94 is available right away. I left the airport and tried to retrieve mine and really shocked that it was available.

Ssn arrived after 1 week.

USCIS:

2016-04-16: Filed I-129F

2016-04-18: USPS tracking shows package as delivered

2016-04-20: NOA1 E-mail received. Routed to CSC for processing.

2016-07-13: NOA2 App Notification. (84 days)

2016-07-19: NOA2 Hard Copy Rec'd

NVC:

2016-07-28: NVC case received

2016-07-29: NVC case #

2016-08-02: NVC left to Embassy (In Transit)

Embassy:

2016-08-04: Case is "READY"

2016-09-07: Medical exam

2016-09-12: Interview (APPROVED)

2016-10-01: JFK POE (Ticket booked)

Ours was also available immediately and my fiancé (now wife) filed same day, but it took about 4 1/2 weeks to get SS card.

10-08-16 - Wedding!

10-29-16 - Submitted AOS with EAD/AP applications

11-02-16 - AOS package delivered to USCIS Chicago lockbox

11-16-16 - NOA1 Text message with receipt numbers

POE was on 10/31. We went to the Social Security office yesterday, Nov 14. We were told we had to come back 3 weeks from the POE date before we could apply so that the system will be updated by then. There was also another K1 couple in front of us and they were told the same thing. This was in Southern CA.

5/2/16 -Hard copy of N0A1 received

7/12/16 -NOA2 Text & Email received (hard copy rcvd 7/15/16)

9/5/16 -Medical

Do we need to go into a SSN office for our alien spouses? Kind of getting conflicting information .

Yes - it is how you. Can apply for the ss number - process is fast go with birth certificate and copy of i94 and passport with Visa

We got married last Nov. 18th. Right now, we are gathering all forms and documents for AOS. Quick question guys, a lot are talking about changing their signature when they get married. Is this true? So on our AOS we need the new or married signature? Im so confuse. Thanks in advance for those who will reply.

AOS 2017: 

2/2/2017: AOS, AED and AP sent to USCIS Chicago via Fedex

2/6/2017: AOS, AED and AP received and signed. 

2/10/2017: Fingerprint fee received

2/14/2017: NOA1 received through text and email

2/14/2017: Cheque was encashed

2/17/2017: NOA1 hard copies received for AOS, AED and AP via mail. 

2/21/2017: Called USCIS to update DOB on AED due to typo error on NOA1 hard copy received.

3/11/2017: DOB updated in AED

3/11/2017: Biometric letter received via mail. 

3/21/2017: Biometric scheduled and DONE in York, PA.

4/26/2017: Called USCIS for service request on AED since Its more than (75 days). Rep provided a reference #.

4/27/2017: (AED)Service request completed

5/3/2017: (AED) Card Is Being Produced 

5/8/2017: Approval notice for both AED and AP received through mail. 

5/8/2017: Card Was Mailed To Me 

5/10/2017: Combo Card (AED & AP) received

6/24/2017: (Greencard) Card is being Produced | NO INTERVIEW

Congrats on the marriage!!! Thats a good question!! On our end...we decided to use the original signature and name from the K-1 visa filing since that is the documented name from the start to keep it consistent. I can see a good reason of others putting their new last name but we probably won't do it. Only when it comes to making changes on SSN.
