My fiancé and I had our packet received 04/29 with a money order, so I imagine we are waiting for him to receive an NOA1.

Can someone tell me what I should expect next, will information be sent to me via the post?

Will it be my fiancé (USC) or me, that is expected to do something next?

hello! this is from all the research i've done over the past several months....

depending if you submitted a G-1145 the USC will get an electronic notification or text msg. USC will also get the NOA1 letter via mail.

after receiving the NOA1 you can sign up to track your status on ucsis https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

then you just WAIT.....for the NOA2 before you start taking any actions.

Okay thank you! I am already fretting about medicals and police certificates and what not. Really glad to be on here and able to communicate with y'all going through the same process.

so far from what i understand, police clearances, medicals, etc need to be within at least 6 months or better LESS than that- of the scheduled in person interview. we thought of it too, can't really do any preparation work now.

sweet, definitely seems to be the pattern :) Good luck !! Keep an eye on your bank for the cashing of the check, if that happens then NOA 1 will follow soon

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!! I am so happy to hear that! :) Did you register on the USCIS website? Once you add your receipt number there, make sure to check the box next to it and then select e-mail and text alerts on below that. Even though I received my alerts prior to the NOA1, once I added my receipt to my account, it defaulted to "N" for not receiving text and e-mail notifications, which I thought was odd since I included the text/e-mail notification form with my packet. I'm not sure why you didn't get the alerts prior to the NOA1 - possibly some tech glitch.

We filed the I-129F same day as you so hopefully get our NOA1 today! My fiance is also from San Diego, I can't wait to live there!
