Good news to share.....we were APPROVED at our consulate interview today!!! :dance::dance::dance:

Words can't described how happy we are right now. Its been truly a long process but it's worth it in the end. My fiancé noted that the US officer questions she had to answer was: 1) what was her finances (petitioners) name? 2) When and where did we meet? 3) When did I go here to the Philippines? 4) What is my occupation? and 5) What is her occupation? The Filipino officer questions were all legal documents such as: NBI, CENOMAR, divorce copies, where we met?, when was I divorced? Any kids? and that was it!!

Very easy process and everything was smooth sailing. Now we are onto the next steps: waiting to pickup the visa, CFO and purchasing plane tickets!!! I wish everyone the best and look forward to reading all of your amazing stories in this difficult process to be with our loved ones. Cheers!! :content:

Has your case switched to administrative proceeding yet? Mine still just says ready :(

Our interview was the 22nd and it hasn't changed status from "READY" either..... :(

  • 04/27/16 ✔ I-129F Packet Sent to Lewisville, TX Lock Box via USPS Overnight EXPRESS Mail.✔
  • 04/28/16 ✔ Delivered by USPS AT 11:39AM. Delivery Confirmation via email by USPS.
  • 05/02/16 ✔ Check Cashed Electronically (No text or email received with the notification)
  • 05/03/16 ✔ Email & Text stating paperwork was received on 04/28, accepted and rerouted to CSC.
  • 05/12/16 ✔ Called USCIS to request a hard-copy of NOA1 which was not received (Original NOA1 was never received or located).
  • 05/29/16 ✔ Actually finally received NOA1 hard-copy after numerous calls after USPS returned 2nd NOA1 as being undeliverable.
  • 07/08/16 ✔ NOA2 APPROVED!! All the apps started going off one after the other. Last notice I received is the text from USCIS.
  • 07/12/16 ✔ Hard Copy of NOA2 received!

Congratulations! Still no change in the visa status and if she doesnt receive it by Friday her time, I've got to change up everything myself.

Right?! It was so easy. And what surprised me was how easy it was for us considering she is filipina and had a divorce decree in foreign country, not from Philippines. I was reading all over it might be problem and they just took one look at it, nodded, and moved on.

mine still says ready .. the date is updated though ... think it takes a couple of days to change though ... did they tell you you d get an email from courier ?

Yeah the date is changed on ours too... I figured they probably updated it once he was approved. Hm, not sure if they said he would get an email or not although I think people have in the past. They told him it would arrive in 2 weeks or possibly longer since there is a bank holiday but I am hoping its sooner than that!

they just said i d have my passport within 2 weeks , and the courier will email me once they receive passport from the embassy ... fingers crossed we get them back quickly ... have you got flight booked ?

Yeah I feel like a lot of people in London get them closer to 1 week so hopefully thats the case for us!

He is planning to fly on the 4th of September but he has not booked the flight yet since the passport may not be here in time... If its not here by the 4th he will probably just come the day after its delivered!
