LONDONERS. I just booked my visa interview online at the embassy last night for the start of September (this is the earliest they had!) Almost a whole month after my medical appointment. Just letting

No status change other than it saying "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate". It's been that way since the interview she had the 22nd (PI time). If nothing happens by Friday her time, I will be forced to change the flight times. Apparently the 2nd Counsel guy she spoke with was rather an a@@hole to her and she said the interview lasted a 45 minutes. She was surprised at how difficult the guy actually was. Just wonder if now this guy will have the process slow walked? The guy was surprised she was able to answer everything confidently and had a response for everything. She apparently knew far more than he did.

  • 05/03/16 ✔ Email & Text stating paperwork was received on 04/28, accepted and rerouted to CSC.
  • 05/12/16 ✔ Called USCIS to request a hard-copy of NOA1 which was not received (Original NOA1 was never received or located).
  • 05/29/16 ✔ Actually finally received NOA1 hard-copy after numerous calls after USPS returned 2nd NOA1 as being undeliverable.

try checking on the visa status page....same place you checked for nvc progress and the "ready" status. It will go from ready to administrative processing to issued. once issued the embassy site will update

try checking on the visa status page....same place you checked for nvc progress and the "ready" status. It will go from ready to administrative processing to issued. once issued the embassy site will update

London guys, I called NVC and got my case number. The CEAC site shows status as "At NVC". I have submitted the DS-160's for me and my children. Can I schedule the medical and interview even though the status says "At NVC" and not "Ready"? I don't have the NVC letter yet, she said they would email it to me. Don't want to wait if I don't have to, but also, don't want to book anything in if its going to mess anything up.

If you have your LND number and have ur police report you can book your Medical.

I tried to book interview and it kept saying "not ready " So you can keep trying until the site will let you ( I believe its 24 hours after ur case goes to "in transit" )

Book your interview at least 5 working days away from ur medical ... Other then tht u can't really mess up.

Is that for medical or interview? I'm not looking at going to the US until the end of November anyway as my Fiancé is working overseas and isn't on break until mid November so if its an early October interview I should hope to get visa's in hand by then.

dont wait for the embassy or nvc letters ..just book medical and interview as soon as you can ... you can swap and change interview .. so just book one as soon as it lets you ... good luck

booking medical is quick .. can almost get in the week you ring .. i did mine almost a month before interview
