I am happy to see my peers moving forward, especially those from the Philippines. It is so disheartening, however, when our NOA2 from July 07 still hasn't reached NVC. Can anybody share some encouraging words and some insight on the situation at NVC? Are there other April filers still waiting or are we the last of them?

On 08/02/2016, We were listed as "READY" but as of yet have NOT received any letter or email from the NVC, nor has any packet been received from the American Embassy in Manila. Called the NVC regarding my concern of lack of notification. The woman stated, "We have your email on file so you won't be receiving anything in the mail. Your beneficiary will receive additional information from the embassy. Please allow a couple more weeks to receive your letter before you book your interview as the NVC has six weeks to notify you of any action." When I told her I had already received my MNL # and we have our appointment already booked, she began to chew me out stating that I should not have booked any appointment until I was notified approval by the NVC. When I informed her it's well known that once you receive your NVC number you can set your appointment. When I mentioned something about "visajourney" her response was "That's nothing more than a blog and anyone can input incorrect information on that blog and you should not rely on such sites."

As of this posting, I have received NOTHING from the NVC, nor has my fiance received any "packet" from the US Embassy. They have severe rain going on as well as flooding in the general area so I highly doubt they will receive anything.

My concern is the fact we have NOT received any notice from the NVC and the interview is MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 2016. My concern too is the fact that I have had to move recently and don't know if my mail has been returned or not to NVC. Anyone have any advice or suggestions??

She stated I had no business booking an appointment until I received my notification from NVC. If they are only emailing, I would think it would be auto generated or sent out by whomever generated the actual MNL # or when it was forwarded to Manila. And it's already been posted on here that the NVC letter actually is issued out of New Hampshire. I'm a bit frustrated on this.... If no letter is received in time for the interview, what can I substitute in it's place. Interview was booked, appointment letter already copied in duplicate, CENOMAR, NBI in hand, medical at St Luke and CFO to be completed this week. Interview is on the 22nd.

I would think that the NVC received your file by now. That's very odd and I would follow up on that on Monday with the USCIS and call the NVC every day.

Wishing all those who have interviewed a huge CONGRATULATIONS!! Especially my fellow filers from the Philippines! I also wish those who will be soon interviewing the very best well wishes that we all pass with flying colors. For those who have been delayed, please remain positive as this wait will soon be over.

For those with loved ones in the PI (Philippines), there is some serious rain going on right now as it's fully into "rainy season" and a lot of flooding going on. It looks like our loved ones will be having to stand out in the rain for their medicals and interviews this next week Rain and thunderstorms all the way through the 22nd. It's going to be difficult for our loved ones out in this weather. If you're familiar with "rainy season" as I am in the Phiippines, it is NOT fun. Be positive, encouraging and remind your loved ones this is soon behind us and the "wait" will be over.

We hadn't received anything when we booked, which was on the same day the CEAC status changed to ready. We still haven't gotten the packet 3/4, but have now received the letter from the NVC. That and an e-mail confirmation from the consulate was enough to get him his medical.

Thanks for your response! It has been keeping me up at night LOL because I know, for example, the Canadian embassy will CANCEL your appointment if you do it before they tell you to, and for Venezuela, it does say on the embassy website to wait for instruction before booking but it did not say you COULDN'T ;) haha. I'm really hoping it doesn't blow up in our faces though. But we got the appointment confirmation and paid the fee and scheduled the interview all without problems so far!

My fiancé is going into the interview with no nvc letter. Her interview is Tuesday...so Monday our time. Today was the last mail delivery before her interview and no nvc letter. Honestly all I've seen is people posting saying its needed and such but I've seen no official docs that state as such. Does anyone have any official correspondence stating its required?? The official page of the manila embassy has the required docs listed and the nvc letter is not included. I've also heard some have been asked for it and some not, and they only are using it to verify MNL #. I told her to take the printed "ready' status page showing mnl #. I do not believe this is going to be an issue or grounds to be denied or 221g or whatever that form is. I'll let you know the outcome Monday night sometime hahaha

Dont worry it'll come. And keep on calling NVC as well for updates. NVC received ours almost 4 weeks. So hang in there.
