My case is still at NVC.

I filled the ds-160 (yet submitted) and try to register ustraveldocs for booking interview.

I saw the fee is available, does it mean that I can schedule my interview and no need to wait till case is Ready?

Also I see there are 2 text boxes

(1) DS-160 Confirmation Number: *

(2) Case ID: *

(1): this is the Number after Ds-160 submission?

(2): this is NVC case number?

I have a question... Can we pay the visa fee at bpi even if our status is still in TRANSIT? Just a thought plus I saw someone posted the same on the facebook page for K-1's but I can no longer see that post. Maybe someone can answer here. TIA.

Once you have the case number from the NVC you can book the interview and medical. I am told you need to be careful though to leave time for the package to actually get the the embassy before you do.

I don't know for sure, but I believe if the system lets you schedule, you can. But I believe you will have to pay the fee first. For us, we were able to pay the fee after getting the Case# from the NVC and filling out and submitting the DS-160. There was a deposit slip with a receipt number that my fiancé had to bring to the bank with the fee.

It enabled the scheduling function online after my fiancé paid the fee at one of the approved banks. It said it would take a business day, but it was active later that evening for us, as I recall. That activated the scheduling, but my fiancé got nervous and asked to wait until the consulate received it.

For us, they apparently only schedule a block of interviews on the last Monday of every month. So for us, we were checking it very carefully and immediately booked as soon as it flipped to ready, as waiting a month was not an option. Now scrambling to get everything together.

I would at least pay the fee now so that you can see what your scheduling options are. Clearly, the Philippenes has more scheduling slots due to the high volume. It might not be the case in Vietnam.

1) Question 7 :- what is the difference between personal property and own real estate (a couple of lines below )

2) Question 11 : I see one sample checking yes for "intend" and another checing "do not intend" to make specific contributions. Any clue which one to select ?

Some good news this morning myself and Bhel received our case number from the NVC. We've had our case approved (NOA2) on the 18th which makes it just under two weeks for those waiting. The case was received by NVC this morning and we already have the case number.

Does anyone know if the https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx that we use to track it from the NVC to the consulate is the same website we can use to track it post-inverview, to visa in hand?

You can pay the visa fee after you got the case number. We actually paid ours the same day we were assigned a case number.
